Okay, this isn’t a K-drama, but it stars our dearest, EXO's Kai! In this new Japanese drama, Kishikawa Naoko (Kurashina Kana, The Reason I Can’t Find My Love) is a 31-year-old lingerie store employee. As a single sales associate at a lingerie department store, her days are always predictable and boring. In short, Naoko’s life is thoroughly dull.

Lee Ji Won (EXO’s Kai, Andante) is a handsome and charming photographer from South Korea. While visiting Japan, he runs into Naoko. As he grows closer to her and her family, Lee Ji Won begins to have a profound impact on both Naoko and the rest of the Kishikawa clan.

With her dull life suddenly not so dull anymore, Kishikawa Naoko doesn’t know how to adapt as Lee Ji Won creates change all around her. But when the sales associate and the photographer are both so different, will their new spring of change end in a warm summer?

2. Reunited Worlds

Premieres on DramaFever: Jan. 19

Sung Hae Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) is a cheery high school student. Being the eldest sibling, he wants to provide for his family instead of going to college. On the day of his 19th birthday, he gets into a car accident and passes out. He wakes up on the top of his school building. He thinks he survived and everything is normal. Except everyone thinks he died 12 years ago, and he hasn’t aged at all.

Jung Jung Won (Lee Yeon Hee) is Hae Sung’s best friend. She was the one who took him to the place where he had his accident. Distraught, she has been unable to move on from the incident since. Having failed to pursue her dreams under the stress, she works as a kitchen assistant at a nice restaurant.

One night, Jung Won finds a young man passed out in front of her house. He is Hae Sung, her first love. She is now 31; he is 19. Can they pick up their love where they left off, or will their reunited worlds always stay separate?

3. Manhole

Premieres on DramaFever: Jan. 26

For 28 years, Bong Pil (Kim Jae Joong) has loved only one woman: His childhood friend Kang Soo Jin (Uee). But Soo Jin is getting married to a pharmacist fiance in a week, and there seems to be nothing he can do about it. One day, by pure coincidence, Bong Pil slips down a manhole and discovers he can time travel back and forth through it. Could a strange turn of fate bring Bong Pil and Kang Soo Jin together?

4. Mother

Lee Bo Young played a mother whose daughter gets kidnapped in God’s Gift - 14 Days. In Mother, she plays a woman who kidnaps a girl and decides to become her mother. This a remake of the eponymous Japanese drama premieres on Jan. 24 on tvN.

5. Are You Human Too?

When an heir of a conglomerate family, Nam Shin (Seo Kang Joon of Cheese in the Trap and Hwajung), accidentally falls into a coma, his dad puts up an AI that looks just like him. The AI, also played by Seo Kang Joon, goes nowhere without his bodyguard Kang So Bong (Gong Seung Yeon of Circle). This AI drama, which slightly reminds us of I'm Not a Robot, is directed by Cha Young Hoon of Uncontrollably Fond.

6. Cross

“I became a doctor to take revenge on him,” genius doctor Kang In Kyu (Go Kyung Pyo) says in a dark voice in the trailer. Kang and another doctor Go Jung Hoon (Jo Jae Hyun) cross “virtue and vice, and life and death” in this thriller K-drama. It also stars Jeon So Min of Running Man. Cross is directed by Tunnel’s Shin Yong Hui and premieres on Jan. 29 on tvN.

7. Children of a Lesser God

Facts, logic, and numbers drive Chun Jae In (Kang Ji Hwan), a detective with an IQ of 167. Chun only trusts scientific investigations, while his partner Kim Dan (Kim Ok Bin) relies on her intuition to uncover an organized crime group. Children of a Lesser God is a thriller directed by Kang Shin Hyo (Heirs, Tazza, and Midas) and written by Han Woo Ri. It’s scheduled to air in February on OCN.

8. Evergreen (That Man Oh Soo)

Modern Cupid Oh Soo (CNBlue’s Jonghyun) helps twenty-somethings fall in love through his magical petal dust. His misuse of the dust makes him fall for Yoo Ri (Kim So Eun of Our Gab Soon). Would their love story turn out to be tales of destiny or Cupid’s mistake? This fantasy romance is scheduled to air in March on OCN.

9. My Mister

When IU and Lee Sun Kyoon confirmed to star in My Mister, people were shocked by their 18-year age gap. In My Mister, Lee Ji Ahn (IU) gets hired to spy on Park Dong Hoon (Lee Sun Kyoon), a seemingly average structural engineer at an architectural company. Realizing that he’s harmless and actually warm-hearted, Lee slowly falls for him. The drama also stars Park’s two brothers Park Sang Hoon (Oh Dal Soo) and Park Ki Hoon (Song Se Byuk), and mother Byun Yo Soon (Na Moon Hee). My Mister is directed by Kim Won Seok of Incomplete Life (Misaeng) and Signal. It’s scheduled to air after Mother ends on tvN.

10. Live

Starring Lee Kwang Soo and Jung Yoo Mi, Live tells a story of the police officers. It’s written by No Hee Kyung of That Winter, the Wind Blows, The World That They Live In, More Beautiful Than A Flower, and Padam Padam. Live is scheduled to air in March on tvN.

11. Mister Sunshine

In Mister Sunshine, a young Korean boy accidentally gets on board a US warship and arrives in the United States in 1871. The boy returns to his motherland as a US soldier and finds the love of his life. This historical K-drama stars Lee Byung Hun, Kim Tae Ri, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Byun Yo Han. This is screenwriter Kim Eun Sook and director Lee Eung Bok’s third collaboration since Goblin and Descendants of the Sun. It’s scheduled to air in July on tvN.

12. Longing Heart

Kang Shin Woo (Lee Jung Shin) is a math teacher who never forgot how he didn't buck up the courage to confess his feelings for the girl of his dreams back in high school. Now an eerie twist of fate will pull him back into the past and finds himself face-to-face with a familiar face. His first love is none other than Han Ji Soo (Lee Yeol Eum). A kind and attractive student, she harbors a painful secret. Since Shin Woo didn't end up with her the first time, he knows that this is his second shot at love. Unfortunately for him, he's got stiff competition: his younger self, Kang Shin woo (Seo Ji Hoon). Will Shin Woo fight for his teenage heart or for his own? It's a battle between two men from two different times, yet only one can win out.

13. I'm Not a Robot

Kim Min Kyu ( Yoo Seung Ho) is both a genius and the primary shareholder of KM Financial, the country’s largest financial company. He's also never had a girlfriend and claims to be "allergic" to humans. Enter Jo Ji Ah (Chae Soo Bin), an ambitious entrepreneur and a mechanical engineering whiz. Her ex-boyfriend, Hong Baek Kyung (Uhm Ki Joon) is a world-renowned intelligent engineering professor who creates a female android named Aji-3 that looks exactly like her. Through an odd set of circumstances, Ji Ah Jo ends up pretending to be her own likeness, Aji-3. Now she's caught in a strange love triangle with two geniuses, and the pressure to keep up the ruse can make anyone feel a bit robotic.

14. Misty  

Go Hye Ran (Kim Nam-Joo) is a popular anchorwoman for a prime time news show. She works hard at her job. One day, Go Hye Ran becomes the suspect in a murder case. Her husband, Kang Tae Wook (Ji Jin-Hee), worked as a prosecutor in the past, but he now works as a public defender. Their marriage has been on the rocks, but when Kang Tae Wook decides to defend his wife, will they fall in love again? Misty is scheduled for February 2 on JTBC. 

15. Radio Romance 

Song Geu Rim (Kim So Hyun) works as a radio program writer. Her mother is blind, and as a child she listened to the radio frequently with her mother. This led her to become a radio program writer, but she isn't exactly talented in writing. Now, the radio program that she works on is facing cancellation. Song Geu Rim succeeds in casting top actor Ji Soo Ho (Yoon Doo Joon) to try to save the show (source). Radio Romance is scheduled to air on KBS2 on January 9.
