K-drama sidekicks are an important backbone to our favorite shows. From sassy best friends to wise secretaries, secondary characters support the leads with heart and humor. Among the many variations on the K-drama sidekick, some of the best ones aren't even human! While most K-drama leads are too busy recovering from amnesia or running from loan sharks to properly care for a pet, the occasional drama features an adorable animal. Here are some of the fuzzy friends who won our hearts:

1. Terry/Sweeper, Coffee Prince

In the realm of K-drama dogs, the good-natured Terry is a classic.

2. Sangchu, To the Beautiful You

Sangchu is more than a dog; he's a therapist for the show's characters as they try to sort out their feelings. He just happens to be fluffier than most therapists.

3. Coco, Bride of the Century

If you're going to gaze into space, it's not a bad idea to snuggle with an adorable kitten while you're at it.

4. Malbok, Scent of a Woman

Eun Suk officially moved from grumpy doctor status to beloved second lead status when he ignored his allergies to help Yeon Jae save this dog from becoming someone's dinner.

5. Jolie, You're Beautiful

Apparently, Lee Hong Ki does really well with four-legged friends. Here he is again, this time with a dog named after Angelina Jolie.

6. Barassi, Let's Eat

Bara is one of the more mischievous K-drama animals, but who can stay mad at a face like that?

7. Yoon Jae, Answer Me 1997

A puppy who looks like Seo In Guk? Where do I sign up?

8. Great King Jade's goat, Arang and the Magistrate

For those who aren't dog or cat people, there is always the heavenly goat option!

9. Sang Gu, He Who Can't Marry

You can't pull any fast ones on this knowing chihuahua!

10. Pilseung, The Master's Sun

This was more of a dog cameo than an actual K-drama sidekick, but this ghost story made the room suddenly feel like it was full of onions. Poor, poor Pilseung.

11. Ddoongja, My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho

Ddoongja and Mi Ho have an automatic connection because they both love meaty treats.

12. Blackie, City Hunter

Who knew that dog poop could be used to bring people together? But I want to know what happened to Blackie at the end of the show!

13. Goldfish, Pasta

I don't personally find goldfish particularly adorable, but every time they cut to those fish, it was a reminder of how the two leads initially met. You have to wonder how many stunt goldfish they went through filming a 20-episode series.

14. Song Joong Ki, A Werewolf Boy

It's technically a movie instead of a drama, but wolf-like Song Joong Ki is easily the best onscreen Korean pet out there (although Jang Geun Suk in You're My Pet isn't too shabby, either).
