1,600 adorable pandas take over a Hong Kong airport, but the reason is sad
French artist Paulo Grangeon has made 1600 paper mache pandas that are traveling around to different countries to let people know just how few real pandas are left on the planet, and this time they have taken over an entire airport in Hong Kong. Sixteen-hundred, that is the number that are not in captivity! There are not many left. We need to do something!
The project has paired up with the World Wildlife Fund and has already been to places such as France and Italy, just to name a few. A spokesperson says, "They'll hang out in Hong Kong for one month." If you've got a layover, be sure to check them out!
