2NE1's Dara to take first lead role opposite Pinocchio's Kim Young Kwang in web drama Dr. Mo Clinic
Blackjacks (a.k.a. fans of mega K-pop group 2NE1) will be pleased to hear that Dara will finally be making her acting debut! She is set to star in the joint venture between China and Korea, titled Dr. Mo Clinic.
The series will be directed by Kwon Hyuk Chan, who was one of the directors of popular dramas such as Secret Garden, A Gentleman's Dignity, and The Master's Sun. Shooting for the drama will begin in February, and it will be aired in March in Korea through Naver and in China through Youku.
Dr. Mo Clinic is a story about a man and a woman who were both left broken-hearted by their respective lovers without even a single goodbye. In the drama, Dara will be acting as quirky office girl Lee So Dam, who often hides her face with a puppet mask or her long hair when something embarrassing happens. With Dara's adorable personality and her easy ability to be funny, it will be a great opportunity for her to show off her individual charms! Pinocchio's Kim Young Kwang will take on the male lead role, playing the psychiatrist who treats So Dam.

Dara said, "Since it's my first drama, I'll learn and grow as an actress from now on. I thought this drama is a very good opportunity for me as I can meet fans around the world on-line through this new genre of web drama. The character is very interesting as she is so similar to me. Of course I feel somewhat nervous and burdened, but I will concentrate and work hard."
