Thrilling vampire romance and action drama Blood has become a surprise hit on DramaFever. Here are some interesting facts that you may not have known about Blood's top leading actors, Gu Hye SunAhn Jae Hyun, and Ji Jin Hee.

1. Ahn Jae Hyun has an unusual eye condition called Retinal Detachment. If not treated, it could lead to permanent blindness. He opened up about this problem last year that he he couldn't even "see people because the brightness of light was too strong." At that time he received surgery to correct the problem and was bedridden for approximately two months during recovery. Now he lives with two sponges in his eyes, has regular monthly eye check ups, and wears lenses specifically for his condition.

#2. Ji Jin Hee plays the handsome villain in Blood, but did you know he once played a handsome airline pilot who couldn't help but fall in love with Gu Hye Sun? Their steamy kiss in an elevator in the drama Take Care of Us, Captain still makes me swoon.

#3. Gu Hye Sun lives with her 8 dogs and 2 cats in her home. With each pet having its own room, it leaves our beautiful and talented actress admitting, laughingly, that she only has a little space for herself due to her "pet addiction."

#4. Ahn Jae Hyun and Lee Min Ho (who co-starred with Gu Hye Sun in Boys Over Flowers in 2009) are at the same age. They were born within a month of each other in 1987, and both are 27 years old now. Could you have guessed they are the same age?

#5. Ji Jin Hee wrote a book called A Walk in the Clouds in 2009 about travels and wine tasting in Italy. Now here's a man who knows how to enjoy life!

Bonus fact about Blood's scriptwriter and director:

6. Blood's scriptwriter (Park Jae Beom) and director (Ki Min Soo) previously collaborated on another medical romance drama, Good Doctor, starring Joo Won and Moon Chae Won. The show is so popular that it is now being remade into an American version.

Are you watching Blood? Don't you think it's very different from American vampire dramas? If you aren't watching, you can catch up now:
