6 successful television dramas adapted from hit films
A memorable film always leaves us wanting more, and in a few cases we are actually able to get much more! Great production teams have adapted many fantastic movies and created successful TV dramas that have earned the love of the original fans and new ones along the way.

1. Movie: Maid In Manhattan (US, 2002) Starring Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes.

Shared Storyline: In a classic tale of mistaken identity, a housekeeping maid in a fancy New York City hotel is confused with a wealthy hotel guest by a rich man who instantly falls in love with her. Complications arise as others find out about their relationship and he finds out about her true identity. Forbidden love, clash of cultures, and lots of passion follow.
2. Movie: My Girlfriend is an Agent (Korea, 2009) Starring Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ha Neul.
TV: Level 7 Civil Servant (Korea, 2013) Starring Joo Won and Choi Kang Hee.
Shared Storyline: A romantic comedy about a spy couple who hides their true identity from each other and reveal many of the internal department conflicts between the new generation of national intelligence agents. Basically, love and espionage collide. Need I say more?
3. Movie: Bridget Jones's Diary (UK, 2001) Starring Renée Zellweger and Hugh Grant.
TV: My Lovely Sam Soon (Korea, 2005) Starring Hyun Bin and Kim Sun Ah.
Shared Storyline: The romantic adventures of a quirky and lovable girl near her thirties, who is single, very accident prone, has issues with her weight, and is looking for Mr. Right.
4. Movie: The Devil Wears Prada (US, 2006) Starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep.
TV: Style (Korea, 2009) Starring Lee Ji Ah and Kim Hye Soo.
Shared Storyline: The icy editor of a high-end fashion magazine tortures her new, naive assistant in the office.
5. Movie: Tazza: The High Rollers (Korea, 2006) Starring Jo Seung Woo and Kim Hye Soo.
TV: Tazza (Korea, 2008) Starring Jang Hyuk and Han Ye Seul.
Shared Storyline: A young man begins training under one of the best gamblers in the country in order to win back the money that his family lost many years ago. Secrets, lies, and deception swirl together in this world of high-stakes gambling where a roll of the dice determines the course of a life.
6. Movie: Overboard (US, 1987) Starring Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.
TV: Couple or Trouble (Korea, 2006) Starring Han Ye Seul and Oh Ji Ho.
Shared Storyline: When a wealthy heiress' yacht gets stuck for repairs, tired of waiting, she arrogantly pushes the humble carpenter overboard. Ironically, she later falls as well, causing her to lose her memory. Taking advantage of the situation, her husband leaves her behind and the carpenter she hurt tricks her into believing she was always his wife and the mother of his sons. Crazy comedy ensues with a nice lesson in romance.
