1. Bromance

Rating: *****

The hero meets the heroine in the first 10 minutes of the show. They promptly become blood brothers, then our hero strangely seems to have no problem whatsoever in getting touchy-feely with his new brother in a very romantic way. The pace of this drama is quite fast, so you can hardly fully immerse yourself into how the two leads connected but easily fall for their bonding. The intriguing part of the whole story is not about how the heroine interacting with the hero. It is more about how they fall in love despite the gender issues and how the secret will be revealed to keep them together.

2. Fated to Love You

Another Baron Chen work you should check out. There are three phases of this romantic story: Initial Love phase was wonderful, Rediscovery in Shanghai phase was terrific, and the Road to Reunited phase gave viewers a happy ending. Watching her experience is delightful, not only because of her fight for her love, but also how she finds her career passion and identify in the real world.

5. My Queen

Rating: *****

The story is sort of an introspective look into the 33-year-old career woman’s mindset. A strong and independent woman wears a mask to hide her vulnerabilities. When she meets a younger guy, their romance is always starting and restarting. They love each other, then they’re separated, then their hearts grow fonder, then they learn, then they reunite as better people, and the process repeats again. Maybe that is the most beautiful part of love and relations.

6. Miss Rose

Rating: ****

If you are fan of Bromance, you should not miss this classic from Megan Lai. The essence of relationship is when they are together and interacting with each other. When they are together, they manage to bring out the softer side of one another, another side of one another that we would not be able to see if they were not there for each other.

7. Marry Me Or Not

Rating: ****

Roy Qiu made a triumphant return to dramaland with this drama and role. His lawyer Justin was hilarious and ever-evolving, a man who was not afraid to admit his flaws and willing to embrace emotional maturation. Alice Ke‘s prickly “bitchy” Huan Huan was anything but that inside, a super soft romantic at heart. Their interaction and chemistry between them is amazing. Although there are some hiccups in the plot, there are still so many romantic scenes that will tickle your heart.

8. Love Or Spend

Rating: ****

Born on the same the exact same day, our two leads know each other inside and out. After living next door to each other all their lives, they are so familiar with each other that they are convinced that no romantic sparks can ever happen between them. Well, another life-long friendship turns into a romantic relationship.
