1. Shoo and Im Hyo Sung
Im Hyo Sun, a popular basketball star in Korea, confessed that he was a hardcore fan of Shoo before even meeting her. “I never liked any celebrities, but I totally fell for Shoo after watching SES perform. She was the first celebrity I had a crush on. I put up her picture in my locker room and thought, ‘I’m going to marry her."
2. Park Hae Il and Seo Yoo Seon
Park Hae Il was a play actor before he got his screen debut. He met a fan who loved his work on stage and dreamed of becoming a scriptwriter one day. They stayed together even when he only made $50 a month.
“I was captivated by this woman who came to see me perform on stage. I was going through economically tough times. She had part-time jobs, and bought me a lot of drinks. Eventually, I succumbed to her charms and married her,” He said in an interview.
After his successful debut, he was never afraid to disclose his relationship. The lovebirds got married after six years of dating, and now they have a son! His wife works as a scriptwriter.
3. Cha Seung Won and Lee Soo Jin
He wasn’t a top star when he married, but Lee Soo Jin was quick to notice Cha Seung Won’s charms at an early age. They met for the first time at a club. She was in college, and he, four years younger, in high school. They married when she was 24 and he 20. They couldn’t even have a wedding because their parents were against their marriage. They surely have overcome many obstacles in the name of love!
4. Lee Ji Ah and Seo Tae Ji
Lee Ji Ah met Seo Tae Ji in LA in 1993 during his concert. In 1996, Seo Tae Ji left Korea and moved to America indefinitely. The two got married the following year and remained married until she filed divorce in 2006.
5. Chae Rim and Lee Seung Hwan
Chae Rim has been a longtime fan of singer and businessman Lee Seung Hwan, who discovered and trained Park Shin Hye. The two had a wedding in 2003 and separated in 2006. They were never married on paper. Later, in 2014, Chae Rim married Gao Xingqi.
6. Lee Sae Joon and Kang Kyung Jin
“The best part of marrying a fan is that she understands 100% of the work I do and cheers for it,” ballad singer Lee Sae Joon of Yurisangja said. He had a brief stint as a radio show host early in his career. Whenever he aired his show, he received a box of homemade cookies and a letter sent to his studio from a fan named Sae Joon Baragi. One day, the fan attended a concert and identified herself as Sae Joon Baragi. He gave her his autograph. A couple of years later, they met again accidentally and ended up marrying!

7. Hwang Jung Min and Kim Mi Hye
It’s hard to say Hwang Jung Min married his fan. Rather, we should say he married his star! The two graduated from the same high school and starred in the musical Cats together in 2000. He was a poor musical actor, but he gave her flowers every day, gradually opening her heart.
They married in 2004 and have a son together. Kim Mi Hye, who’s a musical producer now, has said that her husband has given her the biggest courage and strength!
8. Yoon Soo Il and Kim Sun Shim
Singer Yoon Soo Il was by his mother’s side in her hospital room, devastated by the fact that she had cancer and only had six more months, when he met his future wife. “My fans had come with flowers and food to the hospital. My wife came empty-handed, but she stayed the longest,” he recalled. “Because of her care, mother lived six more years.”
9. Lee Sung Min
Lee Sung Min of Misaeng used to be a poor play actor like Hwang Jung Min, and he used to sleep in the theater. He felt so poor that he thought of marriage as a luxury!
His wife proactively sought after him, and they married. It took Lee Sung Min 25 years to rise to stardom, but it was okay, because his wife was always there by his side.

MBLAQ’s Mir didn’t marry his fan, but he almost did! When he was 19, a fan asked him to marry. He nonchalantly agreed, but was surprised to see the fan return with a marriage certificate with her and her parents’ signatures on it!

She asked for an autograph, and he asked for her number in return. After six months of dating, the beautiful couple got married!
