Duel Episodes 15 &16: Double Justice

Kate Weber on Mon, Jul 31, 2017

We’ve finally made it to the end of our duel, and honor has been served here--at least, I think so. With cures, deaths, arrests, and friendships made it appears we may have had the happiest of possible endings for our characters. Justice has been done medically, and it appears to have been done legally as well. What did you think of the journey? Join Young Ajummah, Debo, and me, Kate, as we discuss our reactions to the conclusion of Duel.

Once again in Duel we have found ourselves on a roller coaster of emotions. First, after Soo Yeon’s rescue, she was treated to a fabulous day out full of fun, love, and gifts. But that was quickly taken away after we learned about her health status. The plot thickens also regarding San Young Pharmaceuticals and its nefarious plans for the future. Join Kate, Ajummah, and me (Debo) as we discuss this week’s thrilling episodes.

Duel Episodes 9 & 10: Double Take

Kate Weber on Thu, Jul 06, 2017

We continue the breakneck pace in this week’s episodes, but are things really what they seem? You may have to look twice to figure out who you’re watching this week. Do you see Good Clone? Bad Clone? Past Good or Bad Clone? Little Boy Good or Bad Clone? Or Good Clone pretending to be Bad Clone? And who’s in control of the legal situation? Soo Yeon? The lives of the clones? It’s enough to need a double take. Follow Debo, and me, Kate, as we puzzle out this week’s developments on Duel.

Circle: Two Worlds Connected episodes 11-12 (Final) Review: Seeing Is Belying

Unnichan on Mon, Jul 03, 2017

Hey Circle Clubbers! It's time to say goodbye to our twin heroes, and I don't know about you, but their journey had me in tears this week. Not only were Kim Kang Woo and Yeo Jin Goo able to sell amazing vulnerability, longing, and tenderness, but the show was also able to tie up loose ends and give us life lessons, all the while teasing us with the possibility of a second season.

Circle: Two Worlds Connected was tantalizing and thought-provoking but most of all endearing, as we watched two brothers sift through secrets and science in their struggle and search for one another. And while some of our characters don't make it to the credits, everyone learns the impact and power of sacrifice, greed, and choice.

Kate Weber on Thu, Jun 22, 2017

It seems this week we’ve got less of a duel and more of a… three-el? Good thing they’ve found a new ally in our spunky and smart reporter friend. Will Detective Jang and Good Clone ever find Soo Yeon and the truth about the clones? Join Young Ajummah and me, Kate, as we discuss episodes five and six of Duel.

Circle Two Worlds Connected episodes 5&6: Trust Is Dust.

Unnichan on Thu, Jun 08, 2017

Hey Circle Clubbers! I think it's safe to say, three full weeks into our story that this show is consistent in doing at least 3 things: (1)Finding a way to make everyone inherently suspicious. (2)Answering a few questions, while creating just as many (if not more) new ones. (3)Dropping one big plausible reveal. Circle:Two Worlds Connected is no where near tipping it's entire hand, nor is anyone walking away without a little blood or bug on them. The theories keep mounting and now that the keychain has been shattered and some old photos have been uncovered, getting at the truth may involve more than the Kim brothers had imagined.  Join Akua, E-kun and I as we share our ideas and angst, then jump down to the comments and give us your thoughts!
