Meet the cute cat that melted a ruthless samurai's heart. Neko Samurai, a Japanese drama series, is about a down-on-his-luck samurai who accepts a commission from a town's dog-loving faction to assassinate the adored cat of the cat faction. But it is love at first sight, and the ruthless samurai-turned-cat-lover swears to protect the cat from all enemies. This hilarious series is so popular that it has now been made into a film, Neko Samurai, or Samurai Cat.

The captivating cat named Tamanojo is actually played by 3 different cat actors. There is only one Kazuki Kitamura, however, who plays the lonesome samurai.

The 100-minute Neko Samurai is subtitled in English. Directed by Yoshitaka Yamaguchi, it stars Kazuki Kitamura, Misako Renbutsu, Yasufumi Terawaki, Kanji Tsuda, and Shigeyuki Totsugi.
