Amazing Japanese artist Akira Nagaya has figured out a way to turn paper into pure masterpieces. The artist carefully uses a precise cutting technique to produce magnificent, delicate pieces that look dream-like and magical.

Akira Nagaya received his artistic training in a completely unconventional way, by working at sushi restaurant where he learned a unique cutting technique called sasabaran. The delicate process involves using bamboo leaves to make elaborate food decorations.

And judging from the photos, Akira Nagaya has more than perfected it. Luckily, the 47-year-old has never stopped creating, and he even opened a restaurant where he proudly hangs his brilliant work.
