Banana shaped Peelin' Pops finally make their way to Japan
If any time is best for eating popsicles, there's no better time than now. There's nothing like an ice cold, thirst-quenching popsicle on a hot, humid summer day. Just make sure you know how to eat it, and what flavor it actually is, because sometimes things aren't always the way they seem.
Nestlé's Peelin' Pops finally makes its way to Japan after already being sold in over 20 countries. The idea of this popsicle is to make you feel like you're eating a banana, but you're actually munching on a popsicle! (I don't really understand the excitement here, but you know what I mean)
Not only does it just look like a banana, the yellow peel is edible, and it tastes like a grape. The inside tastes, as somewhat expected, like vanilla. "The surprise of tasting grape flavor when it looks like a banana peel is why so many of our customers love eating Peelin' Pop," said a Nestlé executive. "It's fun to eat."
Peelin' Pop, the grape flavored banana popsicle, goes on sale in Japan on October 1st, after summer and before the freezing winter. Nestlé seems to be on a mission to completely confuse some people.
