Bao Bao the baby panda, who is the pride and joy of the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC, recently saw snow for the first time in her life, and footage of her introduction to it has quickly gone viral.

Despite some people's claims that pandas look evil without the circles around their eyes, everyone loves pandas, especially the playful little ones. Every time a new panda is born in a zoo somewhere in the world, there are news crews and adoring fans ready to catch a glimpse of the newborn bear. With only a few hundred in captivity and a little over 2000 in the world, the panda is a very precious creature.

On August 23rd of 2013, Bao Bao was born at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC, and she's been charming zookeepers and zoo visitors with her panda sweetness. When it snowed in DC just a few days ago, Bao Bao had the time of her life, rolling around and playing in the snow all morning in her enclosure. Unfortunately, the zoo was closed for the day, so the public missed this special moment, but her handlers had their cameras ready and have shared the footage with the world.
