Well it looks like not everyone was in a festival mood this Halloween season. Prior to October 31, Being police issued a strict warning saying that anyone dressed in Halloween costumes on the subway could possibly be arrested.

Beijing News, a state run media organization was quoted in the warning saying, "Please do not wear strange outfits in subway stations or in train carriages, which could easily cause a crowd to gather and create trouble."

The warning then said, "If the chaos is serious and causes a stampede or other public safety incident, the police will deal with it severely in accordance with the law.”

As of now, no arrests on Halloween have been reported, and many believe the crackdown is in response to Beijing hosting the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation this week.
