They say it's the thought that counts, and a young man in Japan lived those exact words, and then some, when he gave his wife the present of a lifetime for Christmas. To show his love for his wife and her cooking, the Japanese romeo gave her two notebooks filled with pictures of every single meal she made him in 2015, along with personal notes to go along with them. If that's not showing appreciation, I don't know what is.

A Japanese Twitter user recently tweeted some photos of her husband's Christmas presents to her, and her story has quickly gone viral. On Christmas morning, the woman was gifted two notebooks from her husband. Upon opening them, she saw every single page filled with pictures of every meal she cooked in 2015. As if that weren't enough, under each picture was a heartfelt note, describing what he felt when eating her delicious creations. From looking at the pictures of the meals and of his notes, it looks like the couple is very much in love, dedicated to making each other as happy as they can. After all, cooking for someone 365 days a year is pretty hardcore, but so is taking a picture of every meal and writing about how special it feels to eat it.

As can be expected, reactions to this from netizens all over Japan have been all about the love. "What a romantic couple," wrote one commenter. "This is going make me cry," wrote another. One woman though, wasn't so impressed: "If my husband was this dedicated, I'd cook for him too."

Every single meal...

A lot of effort...

"And what I loved about the salad..."
