Actress Gu Hye Sun has once again shown how kindhearted she is by donating art and music to the children's ward at Severance Hospital. She hopes the young patients feel comforted through her paintings.

The Blood actress generously pulled out 26 of her paintings for the hospital, to which she's had ties for years. The paintings are from the Dark Yellow exhibition she hosted at the Seoul Arts Center in January. She also gave the sheet music bearing the tunes she composed, according to Xports News.

On explaining her gifts, Gu said, “I saw long-term hospitalized patients while filming a drama. I hope the paintings bring them warmth in a place that feels cold at times. It’s my small but warm support through art.”

Last March, Gu Hye Sun had to drop out of You Are Too Much at the last minute to recover from anaphylaxis, a serious allergic digestive disorder. In May, her husband Ahn Jae Hyun shared the news that Gu has been recovering well along with photos of the couple painting.

When Ahn Jae Hyun and Gu Hye Sun were planning to marry, they decided to make a gift to the children's ward at Severance Hospital instead of holding a big wedding. On their wedding day, May 21, 2016, the couple visited the hospital and later had dinner with family members. Their wedding donation has helped the ward expand research on pediatrics diseases and build rest areas named after the couple.

Earlier this month on Nov. 7, Gu Hye Sun published a songbook for piano and guitar. The book features 30 different songs including soundtracks of the tvN reality show Honeymoon Diaries and The Peach Tree, a 2012 film directed by Gu, according to Korea Joongang Daily.

Get better soon, Gu Hye Sun! We hope to see you on screen soon!
