When K-drama stars leave for military duty, it's always a sad day for fans. Fortunately, the enlistment doesn't last forever, and it's exciting when our favorite leading men return home. Today officially marks the end of Ji Hyun Woo's 21 months of army service, and he was joyfully greeted by his fans!

The star of Queen In Hyun's Man and Invincible Lee Pyung Kang greeted international fans from China, Japan, and Korea at his official discharge ceremony on May 6. In his speech, he thanked his fellow soldiers, commanders and cadets for helping him complete his service successfully. He also promised to greet his fans soon not as a cadet, but as an actor in a quality drama.

Wanting to jump back into the drama world quickly, Ji Hyun Woo has already been in talks to star in the upcoming drama Trot Lovers. IU is currently in talks for the female lead in the drama, which is set to begin filming this month and will air in June.

Not unexpectedly, upon Ji Hyun Woo's return, many fans wondered whether he will continue to date his Queen In Hyun's Man costar, Yoo In Na. The two have continuously confirmed their relationship throughout his army service, but Yoo In Na's absence from the discharge ceremony raised some immediate questions. When asked whether the couple had split, Ji Hyun Woo answered with an indefinite answer: "That question is a bit... tough to answer." After the ceremony, Yoo In Na's reps confirmed that their relationship is still strong, explaining that the popular My Love From another Star actress was busy with a filming schedule in China and would return to Korea soon.

Welcome home, Ji Hyun Woo! We will be happy to see a new drama soon!
