There are a lot of Asian immigrants in Canada who went back to Asia and became extremely well-known as pop culture icons. See part 1 of the list here, and keep reading for part 2!

4. Kris Wu

As a leader of ex-EXO-M, he immigrated to Canada at the age of 11. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and English, as well as Korean. Now he appeared at the Met Gala. Together with Chen Kun, Kris was the first Chinese male actor to make an appearance at the Met Gala red carpet event. The gala was also attended by some A-list Chinese celebrities, such as Gong Li, Zhang Ziyi, and Fan Bingbing.

He performed in Xu Jinglei's movie Somewhere Only We Know and sang the theme song, titled "There Is a Place."

5. Julien Kang

If you watch We Got Married, you may not be a stranger to Julien Kang. He was in To the Beautiful You, and he was in Golden Cross. Julien Kang was born in Saint Pierre and Miquelon, an overseas French territory off the coast of Canada, to a Korean father and a French mother. He is the younger brother of mixed martial artist Denis Kang. Apparently, his brother gained more fame than him in Canada.

6. G.NA

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she is a very popular singer in Asia. She worked with Rain for a duet "Things I Want to Do When I Have a Lover" in July 2010. G.NA also collaborated with Aaron Yan for his song" Half (1/2)" for the drama series Fall in Love with Me.
