CASTING NEWS: Song Ji Hyo considers tvN's Ex-Girlfriend Club opposite Byun Yo Han
I love tvN romantic comedies, and I looooove Song Ji Hyo, so this latest tidbit of casting news is particularly exciting! According to Song Ji Hyo's agency, she is "thinking positively" about accepting a role in the upcoming tvN series Ex-Girlfriend Club, with Misaeng's Byun Yo Han considering the leading male role.
Ex-Girlfriend Club will follow a webtoon artist and philanthropist (Byun Yo Han, if he accepts) who can't stop obsessing over his girlfriend's exes. Meanwhile, he writes a webtoon about all of his past girlfriends, and it gets picked up for adaptation by a movie studio. Song Ji Hyo would play a movie producer who can't get over her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend. Whew! So many exes!
C-Jes Entertainment, Song Ji Hyo's agency, said that it's too early to confirm anything at this point, but the actress is considering the role positively. This series is set to follow Super Daddy Yeol in May on tvN.
What do you think? Would this be a good pairing? Do you want to see Running Man's Ace back in a new drama?
Considering how great Song Ji Hyo was in Emergency Couple, which was also a tvN romantic comedy, I hope she accepts!
