China's pavilion design at the Milan Expo is breathtaking
The design for the China Pavilion at the Milan Expo is as innovative as it is breathtaking. The design of the facade of the structure resembles blowing wheat fields. The design is expected to be built by 2015 and was created by Studio Link-Arc and Tsinghua University. The architecture layout of the pavilion will be consistent with the motif of the expo, "Feeding the Planet-Energy for Life."
The space will be called, "Land of Hope" and will have 5,000 square meters in total space, a multitude of LEDs that look like wheat stalks, and a platform overlooking the beautiful landscape of the pavilion. The roof of the immaculate pavilion will have a celestial and natural feel, as the architects want to show that, “hope can be realized when nature and the city exist in harmony.”
