The popular Chinese drama The Empress of China has been temporarily banned for being too sexy. Broadcaster HNTV announced that the widely popular show will not air again until January of next year.

The show features celebrated actors Zhang Ting, Zhou Haimei, and Fan Bingbing and is said to have a very large production budget. Sources close to the situation say that the show is being banned because the dresses are too revealing.

One of the solutions for the show to fully return to air is to reduce the amount of cleavage in the period drama. The change would require a massive amount of work in post-production. A decision will be made if the show will return in 2015.
