A Chinese man was finally revealed to be a swindler who cheated 17 women of their love at the same time. What finally gave him away was not that he got caught in a lie, but that he had an unfortunate car accident.

This news comes from Changsha, Hunan province, and it's quite a harsh lesson about falling in love with someone who's out to cheat you.

When a young woman named Xiao Li rushed to the hospital because her boyfriend was in a serious car accident, she found over a dozen women all anxiously waiting for the same patient. They all claimed to be his fiancee or girlfriend. Once they shared and compared their stories, the 17 women realized they had been dating the same man who promised them all marriage.

As relayed in the Chinese news report, the women who were interviewed said that he told them similar stories, made the same promise of marriage, and often borrowed money from them. Some of the women had even been giving him part of their salaries for years. He would gain sympathy from the unsuspecting girlfriend by claiming that he got into trouble with his family because he insisted on dating her.

What's even more incredible is that he's just a regular guy, meaning he isn't rich or extra handsome. As it turns out, following further investigation, he only graduated from middle school and got a job by fabricating his educational background, stating that he possessed a college degree in civil engineering.

At the time of reporting, the man was still unconscious following his surgery. But as soon as he wakes up, he'll likely get an earful from the cheated women as well as from the police for his fraudulent activities. It's likely he has dated more than 17 women over the years. A follow-up report said more women showed up once the initial report made the news.
