Chinese schoolboys use their shadows to shade girls from hot sun
Here's a new way to beat the heat! At the Zhengzhou No. 19 High School, 20 boys during military training stood in a line to shade a group of girls from the hot sun, after initially responding to one girl's request, "May I stand in your shadow?" They stood for about 20 minutes, until they were called to dress rehearsal.
The head teacher was proud of them, saying, "The boys did very well. They’re normally quite naughty, but at critical moments exhibit a sense of responsibility.”
The girls were also very happy about the shade. “They are real men,” said one of them. “We were indeed quite moved at the time, and many schoolmates were looking in our direction.” recalled Liu Wenqian, a new student of class 10.
