train-passengers-save-woman-japan-01 This morning, a woman in her 30s fell into the gap between the train and the platform while attempting to exit a train in Japan. She became trapped up to her waist, but tragedy was averted, when about 40 people rushed to her aid, helping push the train so that the woman could be freed. The woman was then taken to a local hospital, but thankfully was uninjured. According to JapanCrush, who had a reporter on the train, the train crew announced over the loudspeaker, “There’s a person stuck.” Then, passengers got off the train voluntarily, and helped the crew save the woman. After she was rescued, everyone at the scene applauded. All this, and the train was only delayed 8 minutes!
