For the past ten years, a couple in Chengdu, China has turned their 20-square-meter home into a de facto animal rescue shelter. All told, the couple has rescued and adopted 60 stray cats and dogs.

It's one thing to save these adorable animals from the streets. It's another thing to consistently look after them, but the couple has done just that by spending all their savings and roughly $500 a month on their daily care. The couple is able to pay for the animals by selling various items on the street.

Luckily, the wife is a former nurse who administers the proper injections to the cats and dogs, and every day from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., the couple and their many pets eat together.
