Crayon Pop featured on Mexican boy band CD9's new single Get Dumb
When K-pop stars visit South American countries, sometimes our ears are lucky to be graced with beautiful covers of popular Spanish songs, for example, when Ailee sang "Donde Voy". It’s beautiful when cultures collide, especially in music! Now, we have a collaboration between groups of both countries to put on repeat. Korean girl group Crayon Pop, most famous for their viral hit “Bar Bar Bar”, is featured on Mexican boy band CD9’s new single, “Get Dumb”. The track comes in two versions: English and K-Mex – yes, literally a cool mix of Korean and Spanish!
The boy band had been hinting something was brewing behind the scenes when they sent out a series of tweets in Korean starting on Aug. 15:
"Hello we are CD9"
"This is interesting"
At the Kids’ Choice Award Mexico 2016 in August, CD9 surprised fans by performing “Get Dumb” live with Crayon Pop only making appearances on screen.
If unavailable in your country, here are two other alternatives below:
The English version charted at number two with the K-Mex version ranked at number four on the Mexico iTunes charts.
What do you think of the songs?
