This story might sound like the plot of a zombie movie, but we promise you it's 100 percent real. A man in Hubei, China was recently pronounced dead, only to wake up around the time his family was getting ready to bury him. The 45-year-old with the surname of Guo was known for being a heavy smoker, often smoking two packs a day.

Three months ago, the man suddenly collapsed after suffering severe brain damage. Guo remained in a coma where doctors believed he had less than a five percent chance of surviving.

The medical staff eventually pronounced the man dead, but then Guo was discovered to be breathing and gently crying. His family immediately rushed him to the hospital after seeing these signs of life. Doctors are still determining whether or not he will fully come to his senses. Let's just hope they get it right this time.
