Welcome back, Medical Students, to an emotional week of Cross. We witnessed what happened to In Kyu when he let his taste for revenge get the best of him. Join Wendilynn, Deshonda and Ajummah as we discuss the down turn of events in the drama and whether or not a main character will be killed off.

Wendilynn: I have to admit, I was wondering what direction this story was going to take. Watching In Kyu deal with the devastation of knowing he contributed to that inmate’s death because Hyung Bum was using him to not only escape but to get revenge. And then his resolve to never quit and make Hyung Bum pay just sort of floored me. He knows people may die now and he won’t let that stop him. I’m not sure what to think about that.

Ajummah: I cried big dumb tears over Lee Gil Sang’s death. He didn’t hurt anyone and died simply because he was Baek Ji Nam’s son. Also as a parent, I felt Dr. Baek’s pain when he realized that he made the call to not do the CT scan. It was such a sad scene. Now that that’s out the way, I have a bone to pick with In Kyu.

He has lost his mind. I mean truly lost it. Lee Gil Sang died. Hyung Beom escaped. He’s even being accused of putting something in that inmate's IV and killing him. Through all of that, he’s still hell bent on finding Hyung Beom, regardless of who gets hurt. I have half of mind to call the police myself on him, lol.

DeShonda: There was a lot of unnecessary deaths in these episodes in my opinion. I was very sad that Lee Gil Sang died too. That could have been avoided. I was so mad at Hyung Bum he needs to be dealt with quick, fast, and in a hurry before he kills someone else. In Kyu is definitely hell bent on getting revenge. I don’t blame him and I understand his frustration. Hyung Beom better watch his tail. I am looking forward to seeing the confrontation between him and In Kyu.

Wendilynn: In many ways, it's a good thing he never touched more than the bed frame on that Lee Gil Sang’s hospital bed. He can’t be accused of doing something even if he’s under suspicion. I agree that the boy is not firing with all cylinders right now. He’s totally at the mercy of Hyung Bum and he hasn’t shown us any reason to think he can change things to his advantage any time soon. In the meantime, we are now dealing with what’s going down at the hospital.

Ajummah: While all that is happen, the two Dr. Go’s are having a crisis of their own. Daddy Dr. Go is starting to think that In Kyu...I don’t want to say is a monster but he was definitely looking at him as if he were something that crawled out the gutter. Except for when he was nursing him back to health. It seems like Go Ji-In has forgiven her dad, sort of, but I feel like when she finds out he’s sick, she isn’t going to. Operating while having those shakes and shimmies or whatever he’s got going on, it could have so many disastrous results.

DeShonda: I agree with you. Doctor Go is definitely getting more suspicious of In Kyu. I liked that scene when he went to take care of his son. I am interested in how Go Ji In will react when she finds out the truth about her father. I don’t think she will be as forgiving either.

Wendilynn: In his own way, he’s being just as irresponsible still performing transplant surgeries while his limbs are paralyzing. And why is his personal physician not stopping him from performing them?!! I know that Dr. Go loves his daughter and In Kyu and that’s why he’s going to try and save him. In Kyu just isn’t interested in being saved. But, I keep in mind that this show is called Cross. Indicating the burden that In Kyu bears. I have to wonder just how torn up he’s going to get, because this is going to get far worse before it gets better. If it ever does. I don’t really have any hope of a happy ending here.

Ajummah: I want to just point out that the actor that plays Dr. Go will be leaving the show soon due to the fact that he admitted to sexually abusing an actress. I’m not sure if they are going to just kill him off or if they are going to replace him with another actor. If they kill him off now, it won’t really change the storyline too much but I feel like the writers are going to do something different.

DeShonda: Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that unfortunate news. I predicted that he was going to die. I am curious how the story will turn out now.

Wendilynn: I had a funny feeling Dr. Go was due for death anyway, so if they just kill him off now that he suspects what’s going on about phoney organ donors, it will make sense. I’m sad about that fact because In Kyu desperately needs a dad to anchor him. I think killing Dr Go will be the final straw in his sanity basket coming totally undone. On a side note, I’m glad the actor has been honest and admitted his mistakes and will take responsibility for them. That goes a long way to helping the victims heal.

Ajummah: So there are a lot of questions left. I’m really interested in knowing how Hyung Beom is going to continue his work for the VIP now that the only way to contact him is dead. Also, Hyung Beom is really sick still. Will he get better or will he die before In Kyu will have his revenge?

Wendilynn: I hope he is past the ability to heal. Even if he has easy access to replacement parts. Makes me wonder who is going to die first. Hyung Bum or the VIP, who are clearly trying to kill each other.

That's it for this week! What did you think of the episodes? Will the writers kill off Dr. Go or will they change out the actors? Where exactly are all these storylines going? Let us know in the comment section below and we'll be back next week with a new drama chat for Cross.
