TvN's Answer Me series is heading back to the '80s in the next installment, and producer has given some insights into what we can expect from the upcoming drama Answer Me 1988.

Producer Shin Won Ho, who already produced fan favorites Answer Me 1997 and Answer Me 1994, said that this time around, the focus of the story will be a little different. Instead of revolving around the idea of first love and husband-guessing like the last two series did, this time around, the show will focus on themes of family and neighbors. Not to worry, though—there will still be a love story!

This news may come as a relief to Answer Me 1994 fans who almost tore all of their hair out with the never-ending Love Triangle of Eternal Torment between Oppa and Chilbongie.

The series is planned for an October release with an all-new cast, though it's unclear if Sung Dong Il and Lee Il Hwa will be available to make an appearance the third time around. As far as the main cast goes, Shin Won Ho said that choosing just the right cast for Answer Me 1988 has been causing more difficulties than the previous versions.
