BOYFRIEND So, okay, yesterday I reported that Idol group, Boyfriend hasn't been paid by Starship Entertainment because they have yet to break even. A fellow drama watcher said there was a misunderstanding, and the boys have been paid. I looked into it, and Starship Entertainment made a statement on Facebook saying that Dong Hyun had misunderstood the question, thinking he was being asked how much money have they physically ever had in their hands. Now don't get me wrong, I'm totally not trying to start any K-Drama because I can fangirl over Boyfriend all day long with the best of them, but this makes no sense to me whatsoever. On one hand, Boyfriend is going all into detail on Beatles Code 2 talking about things like not breaking even yet and getting a Lunar New Year allowance. But then Starship comes flying in saying Dong Hyun was talking about not physically touching money because it all goes directly into their account. You know, in other words, direct deposit—so he has never physically held a lot of money. Well, that would make sense if he didn't mention the breaking even part. So what is really going on? Is Starship paying the boys by direct deposit like they say, but not allowing them access to their funds UNTIL they break even? Or do you think it really was just a simple misunderstanding and the boys' piggy banks are overflowing with cash? Post your thoughts in the comment box below!
