Hello Drama Club readers! I would like to thank Lore for that wonderful introduction. I was slightly anticipating this drama, but as soon as I watched 5 minutes into episode 1, I began to wonder if I had made the right decision. Saying the first episode wasn't uplifting is quite the understatement because I found myself crying often. Not sure if I'm prepared to cry myself through 20 episodes, but if I handled for 16 episodes during The Third Hospital then I'm sure I can handle this. Trust me, that was a sad drama.
Okay, even though the first two episodes weren't exactly the happiest, they are a very strong set up. I have to take the time to praise Joo Won's acting. I knew he was a good actor, but it is not easy to pull off playing a character with a mental disability. If you haven't seen this yet, Park Shi On has Savant's Syndrome, which is a condition where a person with serious mental disabilities demonstrates profound and prodigious capacities or abilities far from what would be considered normal. Some individuals who have Savant Syndrome are Autistic, which we find out Shi On has. Coming from someone who has a sister who is Autistic, I am very grateful for this show. She doesn't have Savant Syndrome, but anything that can highlight something like without putting it in a negative light is okay with me.

On all 3 major channels right now[/caption]
Dealing with someone who does have a mental disability, finding that one person who understands the disorder and is willing to be patient is very important. Dr. Choi Woo Seok has been that person who truly understands Shi On and wants his staff to do so as well. Dr. Park Do Han, like Lore has said, seems like he will be the person who has the greatest inner conflict. He appeared to have understood Shi On more, but his fiancee may be in the way of him becoming more understanding. Off topic, Cheon Ho Jin is just EVERYWHERE. Like literally lol Mr. Cheon, you are awesome!

LAMO What was she really trying to do with a remote?[/caption]
Aside from the obviously depressing parts, they managed to add some comical things into this drama. Namely, when Moon Chae Won's Yoon Seo was drunk and went into the wrong apartment. In her drunken stupor and yelling obscene things about Do Han(who wasn't there btw), she wakes up to find herself in the wrong unit, although she doesn't really know
it's not hers.
Another thing I absolutely love about this drama is that the surgery scenes are very realistic, even though I am extremely squeamish and had to close my eyes during most of the surgical scenes. Sorry, I am a wimp when to comes to the sight of blood. I just appreciate the efforts done to make them look like a real surgery procedure.
I am looking forward to seeing the friendship between Shi On and Yoon Seo since so far she is the only one who is wiling to understand him. Not sure if there will be a love line or something(he did say she was pretty), but if we just have a friendship then I will be happy.

You have some mixed priorities[/caption]
Before I go can I just say that this guy is a terrible doctor, like most of my anger went towards him.
What do you look forward to in this drama? A possible bromance with Shi On and Do Han? Shi On and Yoon Seo's possible relationship? Or is it something totally different? Let us know in the comments!
That's all for me this week, I'm turning it over to Powerz.
