DRAMA CLUB: I Hear Your Voice: Episodes 3-4 (1/4)
Hi ru, "I Hear Your Voice" drama club fans. If you saw last week's episodes three and four, you'd know that "Hi ru" is the the "new" way of saying, hi! Once again, I'm Karen (Powerz) and I have so many thoughts on last week's drama. So many things happened! There is still time to catch up if you haven't seen the "I Hear Your Voice" drama yet on Dramafever and this show is truly addicting. Please stick around to see my other drama club partners, Jhon and June's, thoughts on last week's drama later this week.
I thought about what I would like to talk about this week and what truly moved me was last week's hot discussion on love lines. Surprisingly, I found myself really focused on love lines during episode three and four. Jang Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young) read my mind and did a great job in the courtroom so I have no complaints about that. Even though Lawyer "Jjang" is having a career crisis, all I can think about is, who does she love more, lawyer Cha Kwan Woo (Yoon Sang Hyun) or student Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk)?
I know, I know, Hye Sung declared herself married to the law at one point, but that didn't last long, did it? The law broke up with her because she felt the law didn't want a relationship with her. Don't worry, Hye Sung, there are two eligible candidates vying for your attention.
I have created a love meter. For each action that moves Hye Sung's heart, the responsible man would earn one point similar to those otome Japanese games that are popular right now. Friendly acts of kindness do not count. Let's see how each candidate adds up for episodes three and four.
Let's begin with Cha Kwan Woo:
+1 point: Eo Choon Shim (Kim Hae Suk), Hye Sung's mother, grabs Kwan Woo's hand. Kwan Woo might have been making a simple comment about Hye Sung's personality, but he won major points with Hye Sung's mother. When you win points with Choon Shim, you win a point from Hye Sung. It would be hard for Hye Sung to defy her mother.
+1 point: Kwan Woo gives Hye Sung a rubber thumb as a present. It was an innocent gesture and not off-putting in the end.
+1 point: Hye Sung, drunk, thinks Kwan Woo is cute without his glasses. Honestly, I thought so too.
+1 point: Kwan Woo carries Hye Sung’s drunk self on his back. He pays for a cab and makes sure he gets phone call from Soo Ha when Hye Sung gets home. A true gentleman.
+2 points: Hye Sung still thinks Kwan Woo is cute with even with his glasses. Hye Sung admits to herself in the bathroom that she likes him. He may have won me over too.
Total = six points
How does Park Soo Ha measure up?
+1 point: Hye Sung gives Soo Ha an indirect kiss for helping her with the court case. Innocent gesture.
+1 point: Soo Ha saves Hye Sung from basketball punks who are out for revenge. Hye Sung and I are impressed.
+2 points: Soo Ha, being the protective one, walks Hye Sung home at least twice.
+1 point: Skinship in the computer room. Danger! Love alert!
+1 point: Soo Ha uses mind-reading powers to help Hye Sung find a seat on the bus. Sweet.
+1 point: Soo Ha busts open the door to save Hye Sung from a stalker.
+3 points: Hye Sung holds Soo Ha in her arms while he sleeps. She then puts ointment on his face wound and checks his fever. Ultimately, she lets him stay over her house since buses stopped running for the night.
+1 point: Soo Ha takes Hye Sung’s drunk self back home.
Total: 11 points
Park Soo Ha is in the lead. Personally, I think Kwan Soo still has a chance. What do you all think? Will there be an epic battle for Hye Sung's love?
