Why is it, in every single drama, just after things start going really well with the OTP, things have to suddenly fall completely apart? Why can't the OTP, just once, fall madly in love and ride sweetly off into the sunset to live together happily ever after? Is that really too much to ask?

I suppose in Drama Land it is and so we find ourselves forced to trudge through heart-wrenching episodes of sadness and disappointment, like this week's tear-jerking episode of Love Around.

Zombie Mamma here, red-eyed, weepy and ready to rip into Papa Liang for being such a cold-hearted, selfish jerk. I know, I'm probably being too hard on him. After all, he's just looking out for his wife and daughter but there comes a point when you have to put aside your own grudges and take an honest look at what's best for those around you, rather than yourself, and that time is now.

If only Papa Liang could see how much better off Xiao Shu is with Zhou Zhen in her life, he wouldn't be so quick to force him out of her life. What kind of father would rather nurse his own festering grudge than see his daughter truly happy? My only solace in this perplexing matter is knowing that Mama Liang has enough good sense to realize her daughter's happiness is more important than her own dark and bitter feelings. Huzzah Mama Liang! I know that all of this family drama is extremely hard on Mama Liang and my heart breaks for her, as I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing a child but she's trying her best to give Xiao Shu the happiest life possible, even if it's at her own expense. Mama Liang is truly an amazing mother and my greatest wish is that she'll find a way to make her thoughts on Zhou Zhen known to Papa Liang before things get any worse. I have a feeling she's going to be the only person able to make Papa Liang change his mind.

On a slightly happier note, I love watching Zhou Zhen and Xiao Shu's relationship deepen, despite all of this family drama. Seeing them turn to each other for the strength they need to get through their most difficult times proves that their relationship has been built on a solid foundation and I have no doubt they'll get through all of this with a relationship that will stand the test of time. I just hope that things don't take a turn for the worse once Xiao Shu learns the truth about her brother's death. I don't really see her holding a grudge against Zhen or his father, as that just doesn't seem to fit her personality but that doesn't mean it's not going to be hard for her to deal with the truth.

I'm really happy that Zhou Zhen has a family that's supporting him through all of this. I thought both Papa Liang's speech and Nai Nai's pep talk were amazing, mostly because they were so very supportive. Knowing that his family is backing him is going to make a big difference for Zhen, especially since he's got such an uphill battle to fight. When all else fails, it's got to be comforting to know Nai Nai will always be there with some Candy Crush Saga and a piece of chocolate.

If only Ying Ying could be as happy in love as her older brother. It seems like Gao Zhe Xuan is slowly warming up to the idea of being with Ying Ying but it seems to me that he still has a long way to go. I have to admit, I was sorely disappointed when I realized her near kiss with Zhe Xuan was only a dream. Come on Zhe Xuan, get your act together, you don't find a girl like Ying Ying every day!

Of course, I can't end this without asking what everyone thought about Zhen's suggestion they elope. Do you think he was serious or was it just an idle thought, spurred on by the emotion of the moment? I really don't know so be sure to share your thoughts below.
