Has anyone else been thrown for a loop by the addition of yet another episode? I seriously spent the entire week trying to prepare myself so that when the time came, I'd be able to say good-bye to Love Around with a handshake and a smile only to find out I've got one more week to go! What!?!

This is me by the end of this episode...This is me by the end of this episode...

I think it’d be easier for me to accept a twenty-first episode if it didn't feel like this week's episode had been completely squandered on the Liang Family drama. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see Papa Liang finally owning up to his part in Xiao Kai's death, but do we really need an entire hour devoted to Mama Liang's fury? What makes matters even worse is knowing that all of this family drama could have been used as a perfectly legitimate excuse to show a little more love in the Xiao Shu/Zhen relationship (maybe a warm hug or a reassuring kiss on the forehead or, an exhausted Xiao Shu falling asleep on Zhen's comforting shoulder...anything would have been nice) and no one took advantage of this golden opportunity! Instead we get an entire episode where the two are almost never together. *Thus the incredibly lame amount of good screenshots this week...they simply don't exist!*

The only bright spot in this week's maelstrom of drama is the elevator scene and the progress that was we witnessed between two of our secondary couples. My James, how you’ve grown! I must say, I've really enjoyed watching James grow from a selfish boy into a man willing to take on a single mother and her ailing child and I really liked his confession. He was so sweet and his nervousness was so adorable he made it possible for me to forgive the ridiculousness of the situation that inspired his confession. (A broken elevator...again? Really? That's the best we could come up with?) I was a little worried by Pei Ni's initial reaction the confession as her facial expression made me think she'd rather be a million miles away but I'll just say that's because she's shy and would rather have heard James's confession without an audience, no matter how enthusiastic that audience may be.

Are we sure Pei Ni really likes James? Her face would suggest otherwise...

Speaking of which...how could I not say anything about Jessica and Fei Li? I mean they were stuck in that crappy elevator too! I really wish I could understand what these two are thinking because there are times when I think they both really like each other and then there are other times when I think Fei Li is just trying to make himself like Jessica because he feels obligated after eating her love candy. Why else would he be constantly asking himself whether or not Jessica is dropping hints about their relationship? Do they even really have a relationship? If they do, is he really that unsure of his own feelings; he has to gauge his feelings for Jessica on whether or not she likes him first? What are we, twelve? Come on people! You've only got one episode left! Just confess your feelings already! Like Pei Ni said, you can't just rely on a look or a feeling; you have to hand over your heart! Jessica! Fei Li! Hand it over already! I’m dying here!

So what are your thoughts on our bonus episode? Will next week’s finale make all of the torture we had to endure this week worth it? Share your thoughts as we prepare to say goodbye…again!
