Well my friends, believe it or not, we've finally come to the end of this twenty-one week mess of love, mobsters, and family drama we know as Love Around. Crazy, I know, but it's true. The time for us to say good-bye is fast approaching but before we do, let's take a look at our final episode and how each character finally found their "happily ever after."

I knew it was going to be a good episode when the opening shot was of Jessica and Fei Li having lunch "together." Why a strong and independent woman like Jessica would feel the need to hide her feelings for, and eventually her relationship with, Fei Li is beyond me. Even if she didn't feel the need to flaunt her relationship, she certainly had no reason to keep it on the down low, especially since everyone around them knew the moment they started dating. Fei Li said it best when he said, "The guy's handsome, the girl's beautiful, it's a match made in heaven." So why hide it? My only guess is that Jessica is embarrassed to show this much more open and vulnerable side of herself to those around her, which is silly, but hey, as long as she and Fei Li live happily ever after, who am I to argue?

Of course Fei Li and Jessica were only the first in a long line of couples who found their "happily ever after." I thought Gao Zhe Xuan and Ying Ying were just adorable this episode and I really liked watching Zhe Xuan gradually warm up to Ying Ying's affection. It really wouldn't have been natural for these two to get together if they'd done it any other way. Zhe Xuan is such a steady character you know his heart would only transfer its affection over time and lucky for him, Ying Ying is a surprisingly patient girl. I have to admit, as cute as these two are together, with all of their hand-holding and goo-goo eyes, I was a little disappointed not to get to see them kiss mostly because I'm convinced it would have been a good one. *sigh*

As reluctant as I was to ship James and Pei Ni at the beginning, I now have to admit that the two of them are practically perfect for each other. James's maturation and true love and devotion to both Pei Ni and Qian Qian has me convinced Pei Ni couldn't have found a better man than James, and his willingness to give up his entire life to live with them in America while Qian Qian is treated, proves it. *James, you're now my hero!*

Love Around wouldn’t be the show we love if Mama and Papa Liang didn’t make up by the end and for a while there, I was really worried they wouldn’t. Lucky for us, there’s nothing like a wedding to soften the hearts of the wounded and I have no doubt Mama and Papa Liang were able to kiss and make up not long after.

Finally we come to Zhen and Xiao Shu, the most reluctant OTP in the history of dramas to admit they want to spend the rest of their lives together. Seriously? We all knew from the very beginning these two were going to live “happily ever after” but apparently they needed an impending divorce to push them toward the alter. However they got there, I’m happy the altar was where this show ended and that the bell of happiness was rung for all.

So what did you think of the ending of Love Around? Was it everything you hoped it would be or did it leave you feeling disappointed? Let me know in the comments below!
