What is it about this show that makes me grin like a Cheshire Cat? I mean seriously! I have to ice my face after each episode to ease the aches from my perpetual smile! This show is just so darn cute, I can't help but smile. [caption id="attachment_173655" align="alignnone" width="585"]Could there possibly be a cuter couple? Could there possibly be a cuter couple?[/caption] That being said, let's dive into episode four, shall we? If I had to sum up this episode in one word it would be "plotting." It seems to me that almost everyone in this episode was plotting one thing or another. First we had Ying Ying plotting Gao Zhe Xuan's demise which was overly dramatic (of course)... [caption id="attachment_173660" align="alignnone" width="585"]The master of bugging others is about to strike! The master of bugging others is about to strike![/caption] painful to watch (poor Zhe Xuan!)... [caption id="attachment_173672" align="alignnone" width="585"]Not sure this is the best idea Gao Zhe Xuan ever had... Not sure this is the best idea Gao Zhe Xuan ever had...[/caption] and enlightening? What was with Ying Ying's sudden change of heart as she watched Gao Zhe Xuan writhe in pain? I have my own theories but I'd rather hear yours. [caption id="attachment_173684" align="alignnone" width="640"]What's brought about this sudden change of heart? What's brought about this sudden change of heart?[/caption] Our second scheme was brought to us by Zhou Zhen as he, very successfully, brought a certain, uncooperative, general manager and Xiao Shu together. Does anyone else think Zhen's a little crazy here, or is it just me? Aren't there better ways to get someone's attention than to crash your (very nice) car into the side of someone else's? Maybe there's just a bit too much gangster blood running through his veins... [caption id="attachment_173687" align="alignnone" width="585"]I can totally drive my car into his because mine's indestructible! Muwahahah! I can totally drive my car into his because mine's indestructible! Muwahahah![/caption] The third plot of this episode is brought to us by the staff of the Sound of Asia radio station. Their attempts to help save the station were small but sincere and just adorable. It's no wonder Zhou Zhen decided to help them, who wouldn't be touched by such genuine love and devotion? [caption id="attachment_173688" align="alignnone" width="585"]Why yes, we're the best friends ever, thank you very much! Why yes, we're the best friends ever, thank you very much![/caption] Papa Zhou comes in second as the master of all plots as he not only sets out to take down Sound of Asia but also to set Zhen up with random women. While the setup failed, the radio take-over is going well which provides all kinds of conflict for Zhen and let's face it, a conflicted Zhen is an adorable Zhen. Did anyone else enjoy watching Zhen struggle between his desire to remain loyal to his family and his desire to help Xiao Shu, or was it just me? [caption id="attachment_173689" align="alignnone" width="585"]When all else fails...play baseball! A brooding baseball player is always the best![/caption] Even Gao Zhe Xuan got in on the plotting action a little, as he attempted to lift Xiao Shu's spirits with a little trip down memory lane and a good push on a swing. He's such a sweet friend, I'm going to hate seeing him get hurt (which you know is going to happen sooner or later), but you know a bunch of warm fuzzy childhood memories isn't going to be enough to sway Xiao Shu's heart...is it? [caption id="attachment_173690" align="alignnone" width="585"] Let's swing our blues away![/caption] Of course the king of all plots in this episode is Zhou Zhen and his amazing lottery switcheroo. Oh. My. Word! I laughed so hard when he and Fei Li scratched off $300,000 worth of lottery tickets just to find one that would solve all of Xiao Shu's financial problems. And the look on his face when he found it? Priceless! Is there anything this man won't do for Xiao Shu? [caption id="attachment_173692" align="alignnone" width="585"]"I've got a golden ticket!" "I've got a golden ticket!"[/caption] I don't know about you, but the warm fuzzy buzz I get from this show is absolutely addictive. The more I watch, the more I want to watch and once again I find myself eagerly awaiting the next episode. Are you? More from the LOVE AROUND Drama Club!
