This episode left me feeling a mixture emotions I haven't, to this point, felt with this drama. Don't get me wrong,  the warm-fuzzies were still there, but this time they were accompanied by a mixture of serious and awkward that left me feeling a little less giddy than previous episodes. fairy godfather (650x365) Everything started out well enough, with Zhou Zhen easily taking on the role of fairy godmother...godfather??? Whatever you call him, he quickly and secretly solved all of Sound of Asia's problems all while looking incredibly adorable, or course. hire me Though his excuses for asking to join the staff of Sound of Asia were super lame, I loved that he was concerned enough with the welfare of Xiao Shu and Sound of Asia to practically volunteer his services. Of course we all know this was all just an excuse to spend as much time with Xiao Shu as possible which, let's be honest, is totally fine with us! The more these two are together, the better! welcome to sound of asia (650x365) I absolutely loved watching Zhen struggling to find the perfect outfit to wear on his first day at work as well as all of the teasing he got from Nainai and Ying Ying! So funny! I'm really loving the family dynamics of this show as they seem much more real (or maybe just happier) than those of other dramas. It seems to me, in drama-land, most families are full of anger, resentment, jealously, bitterness, etc. but in Love Around, both families are full of love, respect and just plain happiness. Sure, Zhou Zhen and his father have experienced a bit of conflict recently, but by the end of this episode they've managed to work things out without any negative lingering feelings. I love that about this show as it's one more way we're given a giant dose of warm-fuzzies. father and son (650x365) I'm really curious to know how you felt about Ying Ying and Gao Zhe Xuan's run-in, in this episode. Personally, I loved it. I loved watching Gao Zhe Xuan confront Ying Ying and lecture her on the realities of life but more than that, I loved that after only three meetings, he's got a pet name for her. Sure, he's calling her "Little Princess" in the most demeaning way imaginable but he's still using a nickname and that gives me great hope for their future. *grin* little princess (650x365) Up to this point in the episode, I was flying on my usual warm-fuzzy high, especially after watching Zhen and Xiao Shu at the furniture store. That entire scene cracked me up, mostly because I loved watching Zhen try to control the feeling of a thousand electric butterflies dancing in his stomach when Xiao Shu touched his face. And then falling on the bed? It was a class drama stunt that will always make me smile. electric butterflies (650x365) It wasn't until James started giving Xiao Shu advice on love that things started to feel weird to me and then the elevator scene...ugh! (I know, I know, I'm probably the only one who didn't love that scene...) I just felt that such a sudden and dramatic change of feelings in Xiao Shu didn't really fit with what we know of her up to this point. What's with the sudden awkwardness? Would it really be such an awful thing for Zhen to like her? If he did like her, would that really change the way she acted around him? She's been so comfortable around him up to this point, would one silly conversation with James really make her freak out like she did? Has the idea of moving beyond friendship with Zhen never really occurred to her? I know she's slow moving when it comes to relationships but really...if you hung out with Zhen on a daily basis, wouldn't that thought occur to you at some point? elevator awkward (650x365) I have to say, as weird as her freak-out was to me, there were parts of the elevator scene that cracked me up. The whole "he loved me, he loves me not" bit with the flowers was great, as was the sudden switch to the dramatic as everyone gathered to pull Xiao Shu and Zhen from the elevator. Only in a drama can things go from funny to dire in one breath. bus ride (650x365) I really enjoyed watching the interaction between Gao Zhe Xuan and Zhou Zhen in this episode...their meeting and instant recognition of the threat the other poses to a deeper relationship with Xiao Shu, was awesome. The look on Zhen's face when he realized that he wasn't the only man in Xiao Shu's life, said it all. who is this guy (650x365) I think my favorite scene from this episode is the conversation between Gao Zhe Xuan and Xiao Shu on the bus ride home. I love how Zhe Xuan forces Xiao Shu to confront her feelings for Zhen in such a gentle way. He really is such a noble gentleman! *sigh* Of course, now Xiao Shu is going to have to figure out how she really feels about Zhen, but that's going to have to wait until next week.
