[caption id="attachment_177586" align="alignnone" width="650"]lovearoundep7pic3 Don't do it Zhen, your sad face breaks my heart![/caption] Wow, this episode was just WOW. I'm not really sure if I mean that in a good way, but I was honestly shocked by the end of it. Let's start from the beginnnig, though. So, as I assumed last week, Xiao Shu rejected Zhe Xuan's feelings. I felt really bad for him because he really seemed hear broken about it, and I don't think that Xiao Shu handled it very well. She acted a bit annoyed by the fact that he confessed to her. Last episode I thought I understood where her head was at, but she confused me a bit this week. After giving her speech on air about the danger of misunderstanding a relationship, all she can do is act coldly towards Zhe Xuan and then send him an omelette? I guess it is an uncomfortable position to be in. I have faith that Zhe Xuan will end up happy in the last episode. [caption id="attachment_177588" align="alignnone" width="650"]lovearoundep7pic4 First comes business parnership then comes love[/caption] lovearoundep7pic1 On the Ying Ying/Zhe Xuan front there was a huge advancement. As Ying Ying "worked hard" *cough cough* to prove that she is not a spoiled princess, she showed a different side of herself to Zhe Xuan. Just as she needs to buckle down and grow up, maybe he could stand to loosen up a little bit; take off those glasses, brink some beers, and sing some bad karaoke! I really want that scene to happen in this drama. [caption id="attachment_177589" align="alignnone" width="650"]lovearoundep7pic6 Yeah, you're cool, we get it[/caption] Now, the episode really began after Xiao Shu finally discovered that Ying Ying is Zhen's sister, not his girlfriend. This prompts her co-worker to push them together to go on an outing to a school in the mountains. At first everything was going wonderfully. Xiao Shu and Zhen were working together, playing with the children in a river, and Xiao Shu was opening her heart back up to Zhen. I was starting to feel a strong sense of comfort and peace in their relationship again. And then the incident happened. Of course I am referring to the hit-and-run scene when the drunk guy slammed into a kid and then drove off with a knocked out Xiao Shu in the back seat. Yes, Love Around episode 7 totally WENT THERE. It turned from low key romcom into Shark in a matter of a few minutes. [caption id="attachment_177590" align="alignnone" width="650"]lovearoundep7pic5 Always buckle up... or this could happen[/caption] OK, maybe not quite as dramatic and dark as Shark, but I was really floored by this final scene. First of all, why did Xiao Shu just leave the kid after that guy drove off? Take down his license plate number and then help the kid, that's the reasonable thing to do. Jumping into the drunk guy's car and trying to steer is just stupid and going to cause more harm, as it did. Now, the question for episode 8 is: how will being kidnapped affect Xiao Shu and Zhen's relationship? will it bring them closer or will it tear them apart? More from the LOVE AROUND Drama Club!
