Priorities are sorted, the air is cleared, relationships grow, the bad guys get a butt whoopin' and suddenly episode eight is my new favorite! **I love this show!** [caption id="attachment_178157" align="alignnone" width="650"]don't mess with zhen (650x365) Screenshots just can't capture the awesomeness of this scene...[/caption] What better way to start off an episode than by having Zhou Zhen take the role of hero to a whole new level? I swooned so badly I nearly passed out when Zhen came charging in to save Xiao Shu from Zhou Sheng Min. Who needs Superman around when you've got Zhen single-handedly taking out a group of thugs without even breaking a sweat? I swear, when Zhen shattered that bottle with his fist, he solidified his place as the coolest hero in a drama ever. *swoon* Of course this wouldn't be a drama if our untouchable hero didn't have a weakness and unfortunately for Zhen, his caused him to get the crap beaten out of him. On the bright side, getting the crap beaten out of him is exactly what brings Zhen and Xiao Shu together. After all, is there any better way to be reminded of how much a person means to you than by watching him writhe in pain from a beating while being tied up together in a gangster's storage room? I think not! tied up (650x365) At least Zhen was wise enough to have a backup plan if his vigilante stunt didn't work. *cue the cute and faithful sidekick* I think it's great Fei Li was forced to bring Papa Zhou with him when he went looking for Zhen. Not only did it give us a chance to see just how powerful Papa Zhou was as a gangster but it also conveniently provided Xiao Shu the truth about Zhen without causing any real pain. Sure, she was shocked to learn Zhen's true identity but the fact that he was suffering on her behalf made it impossible for Xiao Shu to be mad at Zhen for long. eavesdropping (650x365) As happy as I was to see Zhen's identity revealed, I was even happier when Xiao Shu overheard Fei Li telling Ying Ying everything Zhen has done for Xiao Shu up to this point. Yes, there were tears on Xiao Shu's part but they were short-lived and the end result was well worth the pain. A little reflection on Xiao Shu's part was all she needed to realize everything Zhen has done for her has been because he loves her and a little more reflection makes her realize she loves him too. *happy sigh* getting better (650x365) What I love the most about this show is how happy, forgiving and understanding everyone is. Yes, there have been misunderstandings and hurt feelings but (so far) they've all been talked through and gotten over without any lingering anger, bitterness or resentment. Take Gao Zhe Xuan, for example. Last week he was upset enough at Xiao Shu to tell her he wasn't going to see her for a while but when faced with the real possibility of losing her, he not only forgave her for breaking his heart but agreed to go back to being best friends. Crazy thing is, he's not the only one taking a higher road, everyone is...which leaves me wondering where the conflict is going to come from later on. I have a feeling things are going to take a turn for the worse sooner or later but for now, I choose to embrace all of the heart-throbbing, swoon inducing, warm fuzzy awesomeness that is this week's episode as I watch, watch and re-watch the previews for next week's episode...
