First, let us just soak in the beauty of this scene: Screen Shot 2013-08-07 at 11.53.49 PMtumblr_m59fmeVLMi1rqec9uo1_500 So, fellow viewers, it was pretty obvious that during this episode, we would be getting a scene that was inching towards that one. However, I was taken by surprise that they would confess so soon. But, given the fact that we have passed the halfway mark of episodes, it really shouldn’t have been as big of a surprise as it should have been. It was definitely appreciated though. I love how they are finally realizing their feelings for each other, but I was hoping that instead of having Xiao Shu realize that she likes Zhou Zhen first, I wanted it to be the other way around. Most dramas I watch always have the female characters more in tune with their feelings and “sensitive side.” It would just be better if those standard gender roles could be switched. I wished that Zhou Zhen would be able to realize that he was in love with Xiao Shu instead of having him completely oblivious to the dilemma that was going on within Xiao Shu’s head, kind of like Li Da Ren in In Time With You. tumblr_m1ql36VOuU1qaq12go1_500 I love the sense of togetherness between all of the groups in the drama-The coworkers, the parents and of course Xiao Shu and Zhou Zhen. Especially for the coworkers, they all seem so content and jolly just being together and it is the sweetest thing ever. Screen Shot 2013-08-07 at 9.04.38 PM Screen Shot 2013-08-07 at 9.10.24 PM It’s also totally obvious that Ying Ying is falling for Zhou Zhen. And being the spoiled princess that she is, she is completely confused by those thoughts. She’s so used to everything falling straight into her lap, to be able to call daddy and get him to arrange anything she wants, so once this complicated puzzle of a guy comes into her line of vision and does not pay her any heed, she is completely confuzzled. She doesn’t know how to display her feelings to her. Her actions remind me of a little elementary school boy.  She shows her emotions through teasing and mild bullying. Screen Shot 2013-08-07 at 9.08.02 PM That little fantasy that Xiao Shu had with Zhou Zhen surprising her on the elevator made me sad and truly lets the viewers understand Xiao Shu’s increasing romantic interest in Zhou Zhen.  That look of sadness on her face when she stands in the empty elevator totally tugged at my heart strings. I actually thought that the elevator would suddenly stop and trap her inside and she would just burst into tears, not out of sadness but out of the pure awareness that she no longer had Zhou Zhen near her like she is so used to. Screen Shot 2013-08-07 at 11.15.52 PM Ying Ying’s store was so cute! I miss the boutiques in Taiwan. Actually, watching TDramas just makes me miss Taiwan in general. I wanna go back! Screen Shot 2013-08-07 at 11.17.39 PM And, of course, thanks to the “hotel vacation” scene, I now have a new ship: Fei Li and Jessica. Screen Shot 2013-08-07 at 11.43.33 PM The scene where they were next to the ocean was gorgeous. The landscape was absolutely stunning.
