Response to: Mischievous Kiss Episode 6 (1/4) - Heisui and  Mischievous Kiss Episode 6 (2/4) - Rosie
Oh, Kotoko!
Oh, Kotoko!
In-a-sentence: It’s getting complicated! Rating: 9/10 Review: I have mixed feelings toward this episode. It’s a love-hate relationship. Let’s go with the hate first, shall we? Saving the best for the last. Hate-point: Yuko, Kotoko’s rival. Firstly, I totally agree with Heisui about her not being a beauty. As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of its beholder. So maybe she is pretty in others’ eyes, though not mine. However, the main reason why I don’t like her is how she doesn’t tie her hair up when playing tennis!!! Anyone feel the same way? I was so annoyed watching her hitting the ball with her long hair going everywhere, left and right, back and forth. Wow, really? Who plays tennis without tying her hair up? Especially when you’re supposed to be a pro (and Yuko’s tennis outfit is like, pretty pro-looking too). That aside, I love this episode. Yuko’s existence spices up everything a little bit more! Come on, Kotoko, you can do it! Rosie, I reckon this time Naoki’s actually showing his feelings a bit more, bit and pieces of it at least. Of course since it’s Naoki we’re talking about, it’s not obvious like Kotoko... instead he shows it by just teasing her endlessly. As always, excuse my biasness for ikemen (good-looking guys) here, as Naoki smiles and laughs a lot in this episode. #1: Kotoko’s hopeful second kiss. You gotta know better Kotoko, the mischievous kiss isn’t gonna happen twice! Or is it? #2: Purposely praising Yuko in front of Kotoko, then suddenly asking her whether she’s jealous. To which Kotoko responds with a very unconvincing “No”. #3: And here comes my favourite scene, it’s also in the restaurant, Rosie, just slightly different timing from yours, lol. When Kotoko glances at Kin-chan, Naoki glances at Kotoko at the same time. I can sense a glimpse of jealousy from his look there. #4: Lastly, the parting scene where Kotoko told the moving news to Naoki. I love how he’s taken aback here. Bet you didn’t expect that, huh? Then again, it’s Naoki the cold-blooded guy, so of course he always knows how to cruelly reply. And, that's about it. Wait! Aren't we forgetting someone here? No, Kin-chan, I do remember you. Just when I thought you weren’t gonna have enough screen time after high school ended, you showed up in Kotoko’s dad’s restaurant AND the uni’s canteen. Good job! Isn’t he cute with that white hat? :3 But sorry, I’m still shipping Kotoko-Naoki, but keep trying Kin-chan! This brings me to my next point… I cannot wait for what’s going to happen next! Is Kotoko seriously going to move out (I hope so)? Will Naoki stop her (highly unlikely)? How will this affect their relationship?
