First things first- that kiss. I love how Se Yi and Seol Chan quickly dissipated all of my sighing and awing at their kiss via the same brand of quirky character humor that drew me into Monstar in the first place. Their awkward parting, their awkwardness all together, kept me laughing all while feeling satisfaction that they took their relationship to the next level. Wow, with all of this glee at a quick kiss am I back in high school? Please tell me it is all a dream, please tell me it is all a dream (except the Monstar part)…. M 10 1 My own flashbacks aside, episode 10 cleared up quite a bit in the backstory and relationship departments. While we still don’t know why Sun Woo and Seol Chan dislike each other (I fully expect this secret to be held out until next episode, or even the last episode) we got a huge glimpse into who Eun Ha is and what she thinks. Eun Ha has often appeared as the goofy girl, a side character. I was ecstatic that she took center stage in episode ten. Before I rant and rave about Eun Ha I have a few things to ramble on about: M 10 3 If you see hallucinations of musicians following you around it is best to see a doctor. Especially if they follow you home. I had a night terror last night that involved this duo appearing at my cubicle while I completed month end reports. They were singing a blues song…with that drum… M 10 2 NaNa- you make me love you more each episode. This girl’s use of her “coupons” was well thought out. Who would not want to fit the guy you like for a jacket of your own creation? Her heartfelt confession at the scenic overlook seemed to stir Sun Woo’s realization of her character; her full out dance routine made her the most popular girl in Color Bar. M 10 5 I cannot help but chuckle at how Sun Woo, Do Nam, and Kyu Dong looked on in awe of her mad talent as she completed her routine. Daebak. M 10 4 I was one happy girl as Do Nam and Kyu Dong reluctantly repaired their relationship. My favorite part of this newly recovered bromance is when Do Nam burst into the classroom and interrupted the-kid-I-hate aka Bully #1. Do Nam gave Kyu Dong back his backpack (awww) and then told Mr. Bully off with his eyes. His eyes. That is the sign of a true gangster. M 10 8 Now on to the character that drove this episode into greatness, Eun Ha. I have so many feelings and thoughts about this character, I hardly know where to begin (so please forgive me for what may be a disjointed ramble). M 10 6 Eun Ha was so hurt, so crushed, to find out her Oppa was no more than a regular person. Yet her disappointment went so far beyond the concept of Seol Chan being an average joe- it went to the depths of her own belief that in Seol Chan’s universe a girl like herself could be somebody. In the fantasy created around her favorite idol she found hope and chances to overcome. Once that world came tumbling down into the normal world so did her hopes of overcoming her real life, a bitter pill to swallow. M 10 7 The moments in this episode that made Eun Ha shine relied on the revelation of her situation; from an abusive home this girl still kept a peppy attitude for the most part (which I think is a huge testament to this character’s good nature, and also indicative of her need to run away from her situation through a false front). Eun Ha’s emotional state fell apart during episode ten, but her friends were there to help her through it. Even though she felt betrayed and her self-esteem took a nose dive she was able to realize her friends are her friends and stuck with them in the end.  Which I think is what made me love Eun Ha even more. Here is hoping episode eleven continues the trend of stellar character development, because right now I cannot get enough. More MONSTAR Drama Club!
