DRAMA CLUB RECAP: It's OK, That's Love 7-8 (1/2)
This past week has been a killer on our nerves, hasn't it, Drama Clubbers? Between; finding out Jae Yul's true feelings towards Hae Soo, more on-screen time with his imaginary friend, a little more of Hae Soo's past being revealed, and Jae Bum's predictable yet surprisingly viscous attack which served as episode 6's cliff hanger--we waited with abated breath for episode 7! Well, the wait is over--read on to see what does down on It's Okay, That's Love.
Firnlambe: Can I just say . . . how much I ADORE these two as a couple? Their chemistry is really something else. Particularly when it comes to their banter. They play off each other so well.
Ari: Okay kids the word of the day is tease and it was inspired by the "lovely" Hae Soo. Come on lady! You do or you don't or you will or won't cha. What? Some on had to say it.Carry on . . .
June: Ugh, this couple gives me so many feels! I just love everything about this couple and the chemistry is amazing. I can't get enough of these two.
This isn't the brotherly love I was picturing.
June: To be completely honest, I cannot stand Jae Bum at this point but I'm really, really hoping he turns around somehow soon. I'm just trying to figure out why Jae Yul trusts him so much.
Ari: Will somebody turn Jae Bum in already! Gosh. He's not to be trusted and he's proved that time and time again. If Jae Yul turns the other cheek one more time, I don't know what I'll do. But more importantly, I don't know what will happen to him. Is he mistaking this cruel and violent treatment for, dare I say it . . . love?
Firnlambe: I keep getting mixed feelings from Jae Bum. First they make me royally hate him for beating Jae Yul almost senseless, and then they make him look so . . . so weak. Like incredibly weak, and in a matter of minutes too. *sigh* I almost felt bad for him--until I remembered all the shit he's caused his family to go through.
Not so truth, truth serum.
Ari: WATAH? WATAH!!! Jae Bum has
some all the nerve. He's almost laughable, almost. Did he think he deserved their trust. No Jae Bum, not now, not ever. It was very smart of Dong Min to anticipate foul behavior, but in a way he was still very careless. He should have never performed a procedure such as this one with out back-up. Because of this he caused Jae Yul, his mother, his ex wife and that poor shop owner unnecessary pain and trouble. Tisk, tisk.
June: I swear Dong Min should have never, ever told Jae Bum about the truth serum!
Firnlambe: Agreed, I knew that truth serum was gonna cause us problems. I have a feeling this isn't the last time we'll be forced to deal with its repercussions.
There, there . . . It's alright . . It'll be ok
Firnlambe: This tugged at the heartstrings. Poor Jae Yul's always trying to look strong and confident in front of others, so it's nice to see he can confide in Hae Soo during the times he really needs it.
Ari: I really feel for Jae Yul. Why does he continue to let this happen? This has to be guilt in it's purest form. He has to know he's better than this . . . On a lighter note, Hae Soo sure does love this stance . . .
June: Awwww this scene. Right in the heart, that's what it was!
Smells like a bad decision.
Ari: I have learned that people have to want to change. Jae Bum is comfortable like this, it's all he knows. He has made up his mind and the only person who can change it is him. Dong Min shouldn't even waste his time.
June: I just hope he can really help him in the long run, it's not going to be easy but I think he can do it.
Firnlambe: I don't think it will be a waste of time. I feel that Dong Min will go a looooong way in helping Jae Bum reach the decision to finally change, and start down the long road to recovery . . . at least, that's my hope.
♬ Lonely . . I'm Mr. Lonely . . I have nobody . . For my owwwnn ♬
Firnlambe: Worry not Soo Kwang! For I still have faith that by the end of the drama you will get a happy ending that you can call your own. //glares off in the writers direction//
Ari: Poor Soo Kwang. I feel like he should calm down and focus his energy inward. Getting into other people's business is only causing him more pain. Plus, it's making him look like a Nosey Nancy which is never good.
June: I feel for you Soo Kwang! I just want them to get him someone who will really like him and treat him right! He deserves happiness.
This is the perfect combination, to be honest.
June: This scene was seriously sooooooo cute! It was seriously too much for me to handle.
Ari: I hope Hae Soo sees how good of a guy Jae Yul is. She treats him pretty rough sometimes. How does the saying go? You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.
Firnlambe: This man holding a baby is such a picture perfect scene. I've got to agree with you Ari, hopefully Hae Soo won't screw this up. Jae Yul is such a perfect match for her.
Something wicked this way comes.
Ari: Some people never know when to let go. I can tell she's going to be a problem. It's in the eyes. It's all in the eyes...
June: Just who are you?! Ugh but go away already! Haha
Firnlambe: Crap, I was really hoping the only secondary romantic interest we'd have to deal with was Choi Ho. HIM I can deal with . . .
Just my style
Ari: This was very sweet. I like how much they get each other. Very refreshing, especially compared to past interactions.
June: Yes, that's right! It just makes them even more adorable. I don't want any problems between them but I know there will be. *cries*
Firnlambe: <(^-^<) //dance// (>^-^)> Kyaaa! So adorable!! I'm with you June that I really hope they won't have too many problems come their way.
It's going . . going . . . gooone!!
Firnlambe: I absolutely loved this whole end sequence. Jae Yul and Hae Soo's banter was great, but its Dong Min and Soo Kwang's quick witted "baseball" commentary that really sells the scene.
Ari: Is it just me or was this conversation on the verge of being confusing . . . o_O
June: This scene was golden! I loved their commentary! It was so hilarious. Lol
One small step for Hae Soo, one big step for . . . Ohhh who are we kidding, it seems like it's one giant step back for Jae Yul--that is, if Soo Kwang and Dong Min are right. Will Jae Yul be able to charm his way past Hae Soo's defense mechanisms or will he be stopped at the gates just like all of her previous boyfriends? Speaking of previous boyfriends, can we expect a reappearance of Choi Ho in the next episode and just what does the writer's have in store of Jae Bum? Let's stayed tuned in for Episode 8 to find out.
