If there were any doubts about last week's *ahem* scene, it's safe to say, they've all been put aside this week in Secret Love Affair as it's become blatantly obvious to absolutely everyone that Sun Jae and Hye Won are officially an item. So much for the "secret" part of this affair!

I have to admit, with the pacing this drama has had so far, I'm a bit surprised that things between Hye Won and Sun Jae are progressing so quickly. We've gone from wondering if they were really together to having no doubt, whatsoever. But the relationship between Hye Won and Sun Jae isn't the only thing heating up. It seems to be life in the Seo family is about to get a whole lot more complicated now that Seo Pil Won has been arrested.

While I understand that the Seo family is ridiculously wealthy and powerful, I have to admit, I was a bit surprised by Pil Won was suddenly arrested. A part of me wonders if this whole arrest and investigation stems more from a vindictive husband than anything actually illegal. It does seem that Young Woo's husband is a bit miffed that his wife is flaunting her boyfriend to the world and as pretty much everyone in the Seo family is the very definition of petty, I wouldn't put it past him to arrest his father-in-law just to tick off his wife but that's just my theory. Whatever the real reason for this investigation, I can see this incident snowballing into something that ends up bringing about the end of the Seo family but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

Meanwhile Kang Joon Hyung makes me continuously shake my head at his totally ridiculous behavior towards Hye Won and Sun Jae. The man has known for the past four episodes, that Hye Won and Sun Jae have been messing around and instead of confronting her about this, he throws temper-tantrums and sneaks around trying to catch them in the act! What the heck is up with that? Just because some fortune-teller told him that he needed to stay with Hye Won and keep Sun Jae around if he wanted to advance in his career, he's decided to become some childish creeper? Joon Hyung either needs to step up and confront Hye Won about her relationship with Sun Jae or he needs to back off and just be cool about the whole thing. I mean, it's not like he actually loves his wife anyway, he's just upset because she's hurt his pride.

As for Sun Jae and Hye Won, I can't condone any of their actions nor can I wish them well. They're both fully aware that what they're doing is wrong but they're going ahead with it anyway because they've found in each other, something that both of their lives were missing. I understand that they're both starved of love and affection but that doesn't excuse their behavior. Call me a prude but I refuse to accept their affair and I cannot bring myself to cheer for them. Hye Won seems to be a reasonably intelligent adult, with enough gumption to stand up to the Seo family, in her own way, so if she was really miserable, why couldn't she just walk away from it all and then hook up with Sun Jae? If she's sticking with her life as it is because of the money, then she's really no better than anyone else in this drama and I can't bring myself to feel sorry for her. There's nothing in her life at the moment to stick around for, other than Sun Jae and I think they'd both be better off if they hopped on his scooter and disappeared forever.
