shark13-15_zpscd971231 I must be really lucky because out of all the weeks so far I’d like to be the first one to post, this would be the week. Everything has been turned up a notch and I love it! In the words of that classic late 90s teen flick based on Bill Shakespeare’s even more classic play: “The shit hath hitteth the fan...eth.” shark13-17_zps11332356 Every parent-child relationship was tested in these episodes and, right now, it seems some of them will fail. Or are at least severely damaged. The fact that we mainly see everything from Yi Soo's perspective makes it so easy to forget that while Grandpa Jo may have a lot to answer for, Yi Soo’s father had his own secrets which, once they’re revealed, may give Yi Soo pause in his passion to avenge his father. This may be a problem since so much of Yi Soo’s being is vengeance. If he no longer has a reason to exact revenge, what will be left of him? shark14-2_zps0b412799 If his father’s crimes are as heinous as Grandpa Jo’s seem to be, if it’s revealed that his father wasn’t simply a victim of Grandpa Jo’s desperation to keep the truth hidden, does that mean that we won’t get Yi Soo’s inevitable Princess Bride “My name is Inigo Montoyo. You killed my father, prepare to die” moment between himself and the Chairman that I so desperately want? shark14-12_zpsa9566008 While we’re on the subject of great moments, I’m thoroughly convinced that after Daddy Jo’s kidnapping and the heartbreaking realization he had that his father would have let him die in order to hide his secret, that Daddy Jo will end up being the cause of Grandpa Jo’s demise. He’s the worst kind of enemy to have because not only is he the Chairman’s son, but he’s spineless and impulsive.  We don’t know what he may do next and that’s terrifying. Well, for the Chairman, not so much for us. Everything he held dear, his life and the unwavering faith he had in his father, is turning out to be a lie. He's losing his identity and if you don't know who you are, it's easy to become careless because you don't have anything left to lose. shark13-8_zpsfd72492a The only parent-child relationship that seemed to strengthen this week was the one between Joon Young and his father after his father was the victim of yet another hit-and-run. I swear, this series should have been titled Hit-and-Run just like Heartless City should be called Blame It All on Doctor’s Son. While it was painful to see Chief Prosecutor Oh get hit by that white truck driven by (surprise, surprise) Ballpoint Killer just when he was on his way to do the right thing, I was hit by the white truck of clarity (bad, I know) when I was struck by the parallels between Joon Young’s burgeoning story and Yi Soo’s story that is already in progress. shark14-11_zps1a26f424 Joon Young is falling down that rabbit hole we talked about last week and if he was suspecting Grandpa Jo as the person responsible for the accident instead of Yi Soo, I would say it’s a good thing. There’s a crack in Joon Young’s resolve and it’s only going to get bigger. Drama gods help the person Joon Young targets once it breaks all together. shark13-6_zps0a2e68e8 Finally, the hot, steamy, so-wrong-yet-oh-so-right elephant in the room, that kiss. I wanted to wait to talk about it with Kdrama Therapy and Unnichan in the last post for this week, but I can’t wait that long! Besides, there's plenty more to talk about (Ballpoint Killer, the Jo family secret, little sister's kidnapping and, OMG, hot but creepy Detective Kim is a double agent!) I know I should finally let this hope of a true romance between Hae Woo and Yi Soo go, but how can I when they do something like that?!
