After the crazy rollercoaster in the previous episode, the 9th one gives us a little moment to take back our breath and reorganize our thoughts. Many say that this episode is a bit of a let down, but I think that it is exactly what is needed before heading to the end. mons ep 9-1 Nana is a true angel by saving Kyu Dong at the last second. Being saved by Seol Chan and Se Yi or Seon Woo would have been too predictable, but in the last episode I totally forgot where Nana was at that moment. mons ep 9-2 I know people who have tried to take their own lives away, but fortunately have not gone through with it. That’s why I understand Kyu Dong’s later actions – not going to school or waiting for someone to care in some way and just trying to clear his head out. Even though Eun Ha did not know anything about what happened on the roof, she was able to cheer him up. mons ep 9-3 For most of the episode Se Yi is a wreck from all of those events. She has bags under her eyes and she's forgotten how to smile. She is the perfect pair with Seol Chan, because they are so alike. They have another big fight and hurt each other by stabbing each other's hearts with hot blades of words. Seol Chan actually admits most of his feelings during the argument, but as usual, they misunderstand each other’s intentions. mons ep 9-4 The fact that Seol Chan leaves for Japan after that turns the tables right to Seon Woo who in reality should give Kim Nana extra coupons for eternity. mons ep 9-5 The pasts of Se Yi parents and ahjussi are becoming clearer! I think that Mom is exactly like Se Yi in the arguments – they never listen and let each other finish their sentences. Ahjussi was definitely in love with Se Yi's mom, but I have a feeling that she never liked him more than a friend – if even that, but they all ended their friendships before Se Yi's dad died. I wonder if that is linked to the Korean/Thai woman in the car and the cute Thai dude we keep seeing. It would be kind of hilariously ironic if he became really famous or a playboy because of his broken heart. mons ep 9-6 At last we see Hye Rim. Seon Woo’s reputation rises with this volunteering – I cannot say that he is jerk when he is acting like so sweet. Though maybe there is something more behind Seon Woo volunteering at the hospital? We still do not know how he met Hye Rim. mons ep 9-7 Another thing that makes me like Seon Woo even more is that he made Se Yi understand her mistakes and true feelings. mons ep 9-8 Seol Chan is a mess like always, but his desperation really does not have limit-- like going back to Korea on the first flight in order to figure things out with Se Yi. I was afraid that they will fight again, but I see that they both were too tired of fighting or maybe they had given up on each other. And then that kiss! No extra words, no weird fish-kiss – just a pure and beautiful kiss.
