As a result, Yi Long and Er Kui quickly become Shanghai's hottest rising stars and are quickly thrust into a world of fame and fortune, not to mention a complicated romance with the beautiful actress Xi Mulan (Barbie Hsu). But amidst a web of deceit and betrayal, the trio finds their pasts catching up with them — with action-packed results.

As the purported descendant of the author of "The Art of War," Sun Bin (Sun Hong Lei) quickly becomes a brilliant military strategist by leveraging his knowledge of how to defeat any opponent. In a fit of jealousy, Bin's brother, General Pang Juan (Francis Ng), sets him up for a massive fall from grace, transforming Bin from a star into the shame of China's Warring States Period. After a transformative journey, the bitter brothers reunite on the battlefield and work out their sibling rivalry one last time.
