DramaFever is looking for editorial fellows and translators with excellent writing and copy-editing skills, strong voices, and voracious appetites for Asian pop culture news. Editorial fellows perform a variety of tasks, including creating and executing social media campaigns, researching online trends, and writing pop culture news and editorial articles on deadline. Translators investigate, translate and adapt pop culture news stories from across Asia for a worldwide audience. The ideal candidates will possess excellent news judgment and be full of ideas for ways to report news and talk about pop culture in ways that delight, engage and inform our audience. You must be self-motivated and able to execute editorial concepts (whether your own or on assignment) with polish and flair. A positive and playful disposition is a big plus, as is high emotional intelligence and the ability to see things from others' perspectives. An interest in pop culture (American as well as Asian), the web, comedy, and psychology will help a lot. This is a creative, dynamic environment where you are encouraged to contribute your own ideas. A background in media or writing is preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative person with the right skill set, and has the potential turn into a full-time position as an Editorial Assistant. Required Skills: Creativity is a must. You should enjoy the challenge of presenting pop culture news and editorial content in the most engaging way. Design sense and a great eye for images that will grab the reader. You should know your way around Photoshop well enough to create animated gifs, memes and apply watermarks. You should have an innate sense of what will interest young fans of Asian pop culture.
