DramaFever Weekly Top 10 for August 3, 2015
Last week we saw Oh My Ghostess' fantastic rise to take #1 at our Top 10 Most Watched list. Will it keep the top position this week? Or will Mask's happy ending unseat our favorite Ghostess from her throne? Let's take a look!
Oh My Ghostess keeps its crown! And the recent episode gave us another delicious cliffhanger. Are you wondering as much as I am about which girl Sun Woo is really in love with? I can't decide if I'm on the side of the Ghostess or Bong Sun. What do you think?
The enthralling and suspenseful Mask reached its happy ending, and to those of you who have been waiting patiently on the side, you can safely start your marathon! The show was really successful in keeping us glued to its twists and turns. As much as we love the sweet Joo Ji Hoon and Park Soo Ae couple and their transformation from victims to hero and heroine, I have to hold two thumbs up to Yun Jung Hoon and Yoo In Young who played the villainous couple. Their superb acting made a great pair of adversaries.
I'm very impressed by how charming Lee Joon Ki is in Scholar Who Walks the Night. Check out how he makes Lee Yoo Bi's heart (and ours) flutter to no end HERE. The drama has been generous to fans in giving us stunning "skinship" between the leads. I like the nice balance between intrigue, action, and romance so far.
The recently completed My Love Eun Dong is pure romance and love. I binged the series this weekend and, wow, I'm still walking on air thinking about it. Confession: I was concerned about the ending after I read about it, so I peeked to make sure it's acceptable. Haven't you done the same thing when you pick up a romance novel?
In other news:
There's a new cop in the neighborhood starting Monday, August 3. Kim Hee Ae is Mrs. Cop who faces challenges as a single mom and a lead detective in crime investigations. Check out intriguing teasers and stills HERE.
I could not believe my eyes when I saw the notice, but OMG, we'll see So Ji Sub in One Sunny Day, a drama about him opening his heart again on Jeju island. All 10 episodes for the 2015 web drama will be available on Friday, August 7. You can watch them all like a movie in one setting. Click HERE to sign up for alerts.
Here are last week's Weekly Top 10 shows in order of popularity:
1. Oh My Ghostess (exclusive)
2. Running Man
4. Heirs (exclusive)
5. The Time That I Loved You, 7000 Days (aka The Time I Loved You)
8. School 2015
Congratulations to Lee Min Ho once again for having 2 dramas in our Top 10 list.
To respond to a few posters who wondered how the Top 10 is calculated, it's by the view counts from Monday through Sunday for the past week. It's not cumulative, so it is all fresh viewing by DramaFever viewers. I don't know how to explain Heirs' seemingly perpetual popularity either, except that it must be an audience favorite. K-drama continues to attract new fans and there are new DramaFever visitors every day, so please do not assume that it's only watched by repeaters.
