Last week we published the Top 10 Most-Watched Drama of 2014, so now let's see what the first week of 2015 brings. You'll find some pleasant surprises as well as surprising comebacks! One thing is for sure, DramaFever fans used our free time well during the holidays to catch up on dramas. I also have great news to share!

I couldn't believe it! It was the holidays and I wanted to catch up on my favorites PinocchioBirth of a Beauty, and The King's Face, but they were all reduced to just one episode due to some award show. Fortunately, Healer had 2 episodes, and that satiated me for just a bit because I can't wait to find out more from the romantic thriller that's better than Superman's Clark and Lois Lane. No wonder Healer moved up higher in the Top 10 list, along with Ji Chang Wook's ranking in my own secret harem of hot Hallyu guys. You can also catch up on these really fun recaps and join the discussions with our not-so-secret Healer admirers.

With The Empress Of China dominating the news here and there, I turned to The Virtuous Queen of Han, and I was not disappointed. The 2014 drama about a real Cinderella story that took place in one of the greatest dynasties in China's history was very captivating. Wei Zifu, played by Chinese actress Wang Luo Dan, would rise from peasant girl to queen next to an emperor famous for his vitality in war and in his inner palace. Her story is sparsely documented in the historical archives because she was a female after all, but modern dramas know how to make a great story come alive with fabulous costumes, beautiful actresses, and handsome actors. (Can you tell I like the show?) Each episode is only 45 minutes, so it's easy to catch up.

In other news:

Here's the great news I promised: Birth of a Beauty is extended by one extra episode, so it will end with 21 episodes next week. I really love both Han Ye Seul and Joo Sang Wook and their hot chemistry. I anticipate a happy ending, but so far the drama has kept us hooked with surprise after surprise. This is one drama where I wish there were a second season just to see this fun couple again. How about a cooking adventure show starring the couple? She'll have to wear lower heels though.

We say goodbye to the lovable boys in Modern Farmer as we move on to new shows.

Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum stepped in to jump start Heal Me, Kill Me, and the new drama starts this Wednesday. Be sure to tune in. Sign up HERE to get new episode alerts.
